  2. i used to call the batch i reared in the incubator last year kamikazi quail, mental little things but characters to, in their own way, 3 were nearly tame, they would let you know it was feeding time in the morning, they would pace up and down the wire until you fed them.

  6. most of the time i run my dogs on same ground day and night, the ground is so difficult the dogs need to know the terrain, even bring the pups out for a daytime mooch there once in a while, saying that im bringing them out (the adults not pups) on some seriously difficult terrain when i get a chance to for a daytime hunt + general day out it has everything, beach, cliff, rocky ground and loads of rabbits, commonland too, i hope my bitch is up to the challenge
  7. most important things to do with her and get right is recall, retrieve, heelwork + start her stocktraining with fowl, sheep + cattle. and when shes a little older teach her to jump. be consistant and patient, if its in her to hunt she will reward you in kind, if not she'll still be a pleasure to own

  18. believe they are classed as vermin like grey squirrels they are non-native, i know if you trap them its illegal to re-release them

  20. yes + no, a lot of shops dont keep track of the exchange rate or give a poor exchange rate. never found a shop yet where they dont screw you over with it, maybe im cynical
  21. impossible in both cases. not really, ive seen them used as guard dogs in senegal. also seen male baboons on chains used as guard dogs also in senegal. and this was only 15yrs ago i have no doubt that some how they would guard, probably by looks rather than intent. but i think the impossibility you have written in your own words impossible NO impractical YES. they use them to guard scrapyards and some gangs also keep them, if it was based on looks alone desperate afrikaans would learn that very quickly, they would also be costly to feed. they use them where dogs are
  22. handy cross if your just after rabbits is bedlington whippet or collie whippet cheaper to feed due to small size as well and gets a little less negative attention from the cops make sure whatever you get is bred out of workers or you could be disapointed with the results.
