im just starting my 12mth old collie x whippet now, doing a bit of daytime mooching, havent caught anything yet but it doesnt worry me as my permission is very rough, rocky, hilly ground. as for the young pups i wont be bringing them out till at least 6mths, even then it will be for 20-30min runs during the day until they are 8mths then i will run them with the other bitch IF i think they are mature enough. dont expect anything serious from the 2 young pups this season, and i hope the 12mth old pup makes the grade

as above but play hide + seek, let the pup walk on ahead and sidestep behind a bush etc, so the pup panics and looks for you, if it doesnt find you within a short time step back out into view again + call the pup. after a while the pup should learn to stick close to you. did this a lot with my very stubborn independant parson as a pup. she got the idea + became a very mannerly dog

sad to hear about your dog, nearly took that route with my collie bitch when she started snatching the odd chicken on me, once my temper cooled a bit i managed to come up with a better alternative.

i dont mind having a few online friends although i use the term loosely, i try to only add people to my friends list if i have regular banter with them online and/or meet them in person. im fairly friendly but still cautious. atb. gem.
