  3. my sandy hob isnt a bad un thats for sure, he was worked on rats prior to me getting him, he doesnt bother with an empty burrow but wont leave an occupied burrow until all of the occupants have bolted. works well solo, wouldnt sell him for any money. hes the only worker i have at moment, ive 2 kits im hopeful will join him when the time comes, 1 poley hob kit. 1 albino hob kit. sick of jills, sold all mine this year, havent had one real good'un yet
  4. wouldnt worry bout that, dont think anyone on this site is stupid enough to take one, even if they were free!
  5. id get both! both have their uses + if worked right could become a great team.
  6. might not be an ideal x so to speak but the lab in her might be handy for the bushing side of it, the collie for the obedience side of it. only way to know is to bring her out mooching to start off with. if you have a friend with a good bushing terrier she might learn by simply watching. try her out, keep on at the mrs, plenty of soft chat should work along with a few romantic gestures

  15. my patterdale is mad keen to kill my ferrets, ripped a hole in my wire dog crate on a long journey home from the north cos he knew there kitts in the ferret box. hence why he is kept in a secure run.
  16. ive been bitten many many times, worst bite was from a mature sandy hob used for ratting by his previous owner, who incidentally was afraid to handle him. was cleaning out his hutch about 2mths back and was moving him from his hutch to the ferret box, 1 in each hand when he managed to manouevere aroud into a position where he then sank his teeth into my thumb, canine went into the joint. i went white with pain but im way too stubborn to give him the satisfaction of me making any noise about it. put the other ferret into the box, and proceeded to try and remove the hobs grip of my thumb, tryed
  17. great pics deirdre, starting to get to know a few of ye. a good day had by all!
  18. As soon as you've done your cycling proficiency mate, watch the dogs toes with your stabilisers if you still have them on though My lurcher and my terrier will both run along side the bike ok but when a moggy runs across it gets a bit tricky. I don't run them both at the same time because of the height and stride difference but i'm thinking of giving it a go. Anyone trot a terrier and lurcher at the same time and does the terrier struggle from running too fast or the lurcher from going slowly? i wouldnt run the 2 of them together. i run my 2 terriers together;- wearing a terrier co
