  2. oh thats a were-rabbit, whatever you do dont let it bite you lol
  3. why,too noisy? ive already got dogs for bushing (8yr parson type + hound x jrt pup for next year to assist + eventually replace the old bitch) and prefer patts for going to ground. dont have enough work for plummers round here, what is it beagle/jrt or some other kind of hound? i had them when i was a young fellow-good old bushing dogs-last one died only last year-mine wouldnt go to ground although littermates and cousins of the same breeding did..>I have a theory on plummers that are afraid of the dark-maybe its the backbreeding from the beagle in them coming through-although

  5. depends of the breed + what work they are bred for, a lot of terriers bred for hard graft below ground dont make good pets, there is probably the occasional exception to this however. my "pet" parson russel bitch has however turned into a good bushing terrier and only started hunting at the grand old age of 6 and a half, tbh, i didnt think she had it in her, shes 8 now and very handy when i go ferreting with the lurcher
  6. nice writeup and pics, looks to be good running ground too you lucky sod!
  7. bull x's can sulk for weeks if they put their mind to it, probably why ive never taken to them myself, at least hes doing the job.
  8. i dont know "most terriermen in ireland" but the ones i do know dont have ANY of his breeding in their kennels. i know a couple of show ponys who do though. not a dig, just what ive seen myself.

  12. round here they charge on average 4.50-5.00euro at poultry sales, seen people charging 15euro for a pair at an agri show last year nothing special neither, californians are hard got round here as well, folk charge on average 1euro each for hatching eggs too what prices are they round your way earth, duckwing???????
  13. no idea. whenever ive been looking for a lurcher they've been mad money or nothing suitable for sale, now ive got mine, there seems to be a glut of them.
  14. I disagree with you there...I wouldn't think of putting another pup on her if she was a bit rough with her own last surviving pup. Lots of tlc I think.... seen some bitches after a c-section + losing there pups go into a deep depression, can be hard to snap them out of it, depends on the individual dog.
  15. focus on the bitch, her hormones will be kicking in right now (often a bit slower after a c-section) she will need reasurance, she may be looking for the pups as well. id suggest attempting to foster a pup onto her, depending on the bitch + how well you handle the matter she may take onto another pup.
