  1. I'm guessing he typed 'Darcy' into Ebay. . . . .
  2. The one that fills the bag. . . . . ..and they come in just about every size, shape and x.
  3. What? f**k off home and leave it?
  4. Johnny, just got back in from a good couple hours. When you fancy a day out, your welcome at my end.
  5. You never can tell mate, i just got back from a couple of hours. . . . . did two sets, both about 40/50 holes, all looking super active. One had next to nothing in it and the other one was crammed. . . . . . . .. . either end of the same paddock.

Naaw mate was doing a really big old warren, with lots of cover over it, in an area where they don't bolt that well so i stuck with the old jills. Looking forward to trying them tho, you should see those two hobs!

  7. Aye and takes about 400 years less time and hassle than trying to pull them all off. . . . . .. and you cant accidently leave head in.
  8. f**k me, makes me EXTREMELY glad that i know so few people in the dog game and keep myself to myself. . . . . what a load of hassle and bullshit. Kid uses a blokes dog (who gives a f**k what dog or what bloke), and gives the bloke two pups, keeps a couple for himself, now is getting rid of one over a year later and bloke sees a chance to bully kid into giving him a free dog. . . . right? Then when kid says no. . . . . .which i think is pretty fair (did the guy even offer him something . . . . like even just 100 quid for the kids time in raising etc, as a nod) it gets all 'i'll kick your head i
  9. true, but i wouldnt say this makes them work any better. doing this doesn't make a ferret enter as deep as possible, or turn a bottled rabbit so it will bolt. patience and experience Perhaps true, but it certainly makes working them better if that makes sense. However i do find they tend to work better if they are more comfortable with whats going on. But yes - patience and experience cannot be replaced. Also things like being quiet etc will make it easier for a young inexperienced ferret and so having an easier job, they will do better at it. . . . .
  10. Frontline spray mate, massage it into the skin and fur with a pair of rubber gloves, make sure you get behind the ears and between the toes. Remove any big obvious ones with the tick remover you have got. Should work with one spray, they all should drop off in a day or so, but if not try again. Obviously watch you dont get it in her eyes or mouth etc. For after care, just make sure she got plenty food and water, somewhere dry to sleep and monitor her. Obviously keep her apart from any other animals. Hope that sorts it. Jai.
  11. Nope. What's it saying?
  12. How many total? Thats a bit weird that you caught so many??? Also how do you know they were released and not escaped? What did you do with them?
  13. Did you honestly think it would turn out any different?........ No but at least people kind of discussed it for a bit rather than just saying 'thats a f*****g load of shit because it isnt my opinion or isnt happening around me in my own personal limited experiance, so therefore must be all wrong'. . . . or just perceiving it as some kind of attack, this place is rife with paranoia.
  14. See now it's just become some kind of dogmen vs riflemen bullshit. . . . . shame it was a good thread.
  15. They just pick it up mate, if you encourage or praise them too much it can lead to false marking. how do you tell, does their body language change,my lurcher is only 5 1/2 mths old but my cocker ,when we are out, some burrows she will just ignore other she will stick her head or body down the hole as far as she can have a good then come back up,look at me then back for a sniff again,is this her marking?cheers......john Sounds like it could be - test her with the ferrets, you'll soon know.

  19. rats and squirrels . . . . .some dog. O and i'm sure you meant 'when my bullx retrieves a charlie' or something to that effect. Out of interest does it run in circles around the other dog, around you or just aimlessly chasing its tail?
