  1. And who funded and supported them for all those years? Just cos the guns were pointed at the 'evil' communists? Not defending them obviously. . . . . . .. What gets me is the idea some of you seem to have that this is ALL muslims.. . . . .. .

    Sheep?

f**k all money mate unless you want to do it commercially. Used to run about 100, was good fun, but constant work and not much reward. Some money in rare breeds and specialty meats, but that comes with higher initial and maintenance cost.
  3. No dew claws here - they are a total hassle.
  4. Rabbits mate, and anything else you get, pigeons, pheasants etc. Gut em and throw them in, sized to the number of ferrets. Good quality cat meat is ok, but the biscuits are pretty shit. Ummmmm chicken, fish, eggs. Mine pretty much live on rabbit with the odd pigeon for fat and an egg as a treat.
  5. It's me. I'm actually a rabbit, i've been f*****g with you all long and hard and gathering intelligence for the coming war on all humans. The earth shall be ours.
  6. You mate for spending your time thinking, talking and posting about 'messers' it's a stupid f*****g word anyway. It's a website. . . .. . .i'm sure we are all 'messers' at times.
  7. 211"......... some f*****g whippet On a serious not smart dogs mate.
  8. You lot look like your off to rob a bank.
  9. Doesn't take up as much space, your missus is more likely to have it in the house, looks a bit more subtle to the cops, some folk just like the bull blood attitude and gameness. However having said that, if you get the right whippet it can be plenty game enough etc.
  10. Yer big respect to kye for getting in the ring in the first place. . . . there are other fights and next time he will. . . . . knockemthefuckout!
  11. Dey must fink it's wellard to go smashing and slaying da animuls, innit! Can i be in your gang?
  12. Well, the vet knows that Bert spends the bulk of his time pootling round the house, so she did speculate that his tail has come into contact with an irritant and that he's then compounded the problem by over-grooming it. If it's nowhere else on his body that might be a good guess. Good luck anyhow.
  13. So you've worked a lot of bull whippets then?
  14. He is oyning his tail so yes, it's red and inflamed but i can't see any surface rust. It is a bit scabby though. So if the swabs come back negative, should i ask the vet to treat for mange anyway, d'you think ? Your call really. If you cant come up with something else, it's worth a try i think. Do the inside of his ears look dirty? No, they're as clean as a whistle, and the rest of his body is too. The redness is purely confined to his tail. I'll see what the vet thinks but as you say, if it's inconclusive then i'll get him treated for it. Cheers for the input, trea

  16. It's also a little bit more subtle and like has been said a 1/4 has really good initial take off speed, gets the job done quickly and is ideal for small land, working with heavy cover or running in forestry. There is also the factor that it is far easier to find a really good working whippet than a really good working grey.
  17. That said, my albino hob has a tail problem. It's not rat tail though. I noticed a sore looking red patch with thinning hair on his tail a coupla weeks ago. He's lost his undercoat, just leaving the guard hairs, and you can see skin which is inflamed but i couldn't see any evidence of mites or fleas etc. The vet gave us some anti-bacterial, anti-fungal shampoo and an antibiotic course. Next step is skin swabs, which is looking likely cos it's not improving at all. Any of yours had this ? Mange? I'm at a loss, tbh. I've got a lurcher with demodectic mange, and wh

  19. Try walking backwards so he keeps coming toward you and then take it off him from his mouth. You can also try keeping his head up with keeping his attention on a treat in his hand and then scooping the dummy off him. Only reward him when he gives it to you properly.
  20. Great post! That is the truth. You should know mate, your stags are a lot closer to what our greys used to be like, and are of course descended from the running dogs / greyhounds taken from the u.k etc to the states a long time ago.
