An alternative to a catch and hold dog, is a baying / bailing dog. A collie or hound type is ideal, then get in and shoot / stick em.

As said, loads of them about, but they get culled to f**k by the gun boys. The right dog could do one, but i think it would take a fecking beast of a dog to handle a full grown adult boar a lone and un-armoured. By far a harder job than a big stag.

That's an old wives tale mate. Agouti is made up of a number of colors, including black, white, brown etc. As a result you get mutations where you get rabbits of all one color. I've even seen half white / half normal etc. It's more prevalant as whin says, in a big, healthy population.

Well, no, i wouldn't say that they are going to out pace a heavily greyhound saturated lurcher, or a purpose bred coursing dog, but for a half x, especially one bred of a heavier breed, they run a lot faster than you might think. And from what i can see, they run fast enough to out run what they are chasing on a regular basis, and surely that is fast enough. And now they have put a coursing dog over one, so we shall see what these new pups can do, but i think they will probably shine if brought on right

Just for the record, them half x, Malamute/Greys can fecking shift! And they do the job that they were bred for, very well indeed! Lovely lookig dogs as well, with a great temprament.

How did Spud run?Did he pick many up? i could of done with a hand i would of stoped out longer if i had someone with me its a long walk spud ran realy well i run him twoup so his dad showed him who was boss but he ran realy well never gave up and it was a hard night for spud so im proud of him Let us know next time sunshine and we can come up for a walk out i will want to see my luna run i li

Today, being Sunday, is the day johnnyboy68 and I for a good walk out and mooch with the dogs. Unfortunatly this week, my lad Finn, was in sick bay, after cutting his leg last Sunday. Today we decided to have a walk out on the mountain, which is the past has held well. Young Tom appeared at mine early, with his two young ferrets, and after a cup of tea, and with the addition of one of my jills, we set off, leaving Finn howling the house down. Picked up Johnnyboy and his two dogs Gem and Luna, another jill, and off we went. Got onto the mountain, and immediatly there was an obvious diff

I was just having a think while feeding the stinkers. It's funny how everyone is always saying get jills and not hobs, and jills are what they work etc. But the thing is, when you breed a litter, you really need a good, working hob. . . . . . . .
