  1. Aye it is JTB,I see your back now, been a good few weeks since the event,i trust your getting back to 'normal' now eh?
  2. i think terriermen have a bigger problem working together than the terriers themselves regardless of colour in terriers, there should only be one standard for a terrier"how does it work below ground", if your happy with your terrier's work that's all that matters to you,but if setting standards for terriers as a bench mark, then all terriermen have to unite and agree at an official meeting, arguing on forums does not lead to a permanent solution or final conclusion, atb, Higgins.
  3. i've eyeballed this tattoo,it's top notch(i think it's Vic Graingers print),looks the dog's bollocks.... i don't have any tattoos myself but THAT is something i would have on my body,ATB, Higgins.
  4. if i remember right,an 8 foot collar had one battery,a 15 foot collar had two due to the extra transmitting range, do some some tests on both collars and see where they correspond on your receiver box,you may find that they differ. Not sure what you have been sold, but it sounds like a 15 foot box with an 8 ft and 15 ft collar, atb, Higgins.
  5. looks like a 'she' blue coyote, whereabouts are the pics took from swamper?
  6. my terrier had the same problem so i took it to the vets, all she did was pulled the nail out completeley, apparently she told me it would grow back,he's fine now with a new toenail!
  7. just recently sold a 4ft corn and a junior about 2 ft,also a california king snake and two bearded dragons for 400 quid, Higgins.
  8. just enjoy your life while you still can, nothing is guaranteed forever, Higgins.
  9. over here land is overvalued, but now is the right time to start buying or at least 12 months from now would be better, land is still a good investment but not for development,Higgins.
  10. i'm sure your kits will look for food when they are ready, just make sure there is extra food being put down daily from 3 weeks of age and preferably mashed to a pulp for easy digestion, atb, Higgins.
  11. mine are being flooded to death at the mo,after. successful propagation, out of a possible 15 different varieties i've ended up wit h melon a [/left]nd i'm not s[bANNED TEXT] what the other are, next time i will plant less and keep my eye on the progress more... Higgins
  12. nice one pal, there'll no doubt be more shooting for you in years to come,YIS, Higgins.
  13. well said pickaxe well said Pickaxe the bit about playing with the dog to find out it's strengths and weaknesses, unfortunately too many people who own terriers just lock them up and expect a hard days graft when they take them out on a hunt, time and patience are sadly lacking in some cases, there is no rush with a terrier, like boxing champions with the best managers they can succeed, the worst managers can ruin them, observation is important and understanding too,but time is always of the essence isn't it? well he is definitely immortal now isn't he,i suppose if you can live your life the way he did,(scrapyard back garden or not) you would experience an happiness through not conforming to society and any authority, that is his 'Real Appeal' and the reason why so many loved him!
  15. The only real conclusive evidence of a terrier killing a badger is by autopsy, this could rule out shock/heart attack and prove that asphyxiation caused by a terrier gripping the brock's throat did indeed cause it to die through lack of oxygen, also rule out other facts such as an infirm or very young badger!I remember lots of dead badgers being dug but most of them hardly had marks on them which you could say were the cause of death as tough as badgers are,a dog would have to have exceptional strength to physically kill a badger and most terriers are smaller than the badger, also badgers are b

i liked the fella, though never met him personally i was witness to the Last Chimney he pulled down with his unique method, and his interest in steam and architecture, also annoying the neighbours with his tunnels, what a guy,we don't have enough 'legends' like him,and a pint of guiness or two well the guy was just a bloke captured on tv wasn't he,my personal admiration for him developed when i saw him walking on top of one of the chimneys he was about to bring down, he was walking round the top of this chimney and there was a bit of wind blowing ,he walked on the top like it was a calm day,i mea

  19. is it some sort of artillery store or distribution point of same?
  20. give the terrier as many opportunities you can to prove itself over time,if you have given more opportunities than it really needs, then take into account it's age, method of entering, some really good dogs have been slow to start,i would also apply this logic to dogs that are too keen on their first few digs, good luck, Higgins.
