thanks for the articles Chris, what i can't understand is this was supposed to be a work of 'art' also to highlight peoples hypocrisy, well the artist's own hypocrisy has made him unpopular!Just remember his name Guillermo Habacuc Vargas. There doesn't seem to be any consistent account of what really happened to that dog though, some reports say it starved to death during the exhibition and others report that the dog escaped!
-
i also wonder if any of these so called 'animal welfare organisations' have actually signed the petition too? Higgins.
-
As i suspected, the animal welfare organisations who are ACTUALLY MONITORING this hunting sites have chosen to ignore the plight of the 'art dog',instead they will try to find fault with hunting people and the slightest sign of neglect or catching an animal in the natural world of hunting they will latch on to,yet they have seen on this same site a deliberately starved dog in the 'art world' and have chosen to do nothing about it!Need anyone say more how these'welfare organisations' work? Higgins.

fools always ask advice, then go against good advice,i've been a fool myself when i was inexperienced enough to ask for advice, then i made mistakes, let these fools who ask for advice make their mistakes for that is where their learning curve begins, after their disastrous mistakes, they will come back again to ask for some more advice, pity them for they know not the ways of the working animal hierarchy, and you will still always be willing to guide them! Higgins.

yeah you were being a bit selfish not taking the dog out with you,in the interests of health and safety you were being reckless too, what if one of those killer lambs got you, what then,eh?You Mardass, your family would have been devastated, like in the film'revenge of the deadly zombie sheep' or a very similiar title(no, i never got the dvd so haven't watched it yet!)looks like your not a born lamper(been reading too many Plummer books before bedtime lately?), do us all a favour mate, stick to daytime hunting preferably with a dog,a companion hunter and a weapon of your own choice,we don't need

i agree with scent, where is the world equivalent of the RSPCA in this case, who is the animal welfare group that should've been monitoring this case?THEY ARE JUST AS BAD AS THE ARTIST because they have FAILED to monitor a distressing case of animal abuse, but as usual 'they never heard about this case' if so why have 1.5 million general public heard about it and signed the petition yet they haven't done a thing or brought about a prosecution against the 'Artist'?

no you don't need a locater,if your not going to use one, then you must have plenty of waiting time,no nagging wife expecting you home within the first hour of ferreting,no job to get back to,you must not 'value' your ferrets highly enough, you must not poach or be ferreting without permission, you definitely shouldn't expect a 'high catch ratio',you will need yards of white depth marked string,or possibly a nasty big hob to assist you, maybe even a few too many mates to help you destroy the warren in search of your jill and her catch, replicated for as long as it takes, but you could of course re

just been reading this and signed the petition anyway. When i saw the pictures which look real,i couldn't help but feel for the poor dog and thought this 'artist' was a c**t!What has happenned in this case, what is the truth and are there any updates on what happened to the 'artist'?I know the last post mentioned a cover up in the form of a hoax, but what is the true current sitiuation, anyone know?if the RSPCA came to your house and your dog was underweight(comapred to a deiliberately starved dog)they would try to have you for neglect, this c**t should get murder charges, sick b*****d!I hope there
-
sorry to hear about that Makultoh,it's always sad when a dog does not return, hope you somehow get him back, Higgins.
-
i don't think anyone can use one for ferreting as the transmitter collars will be too big for ferrets, Higgins.

i've been to the vets 3 times since i bought my terrier pup already docked. He's ten months old now but it's just occurred to me that i wasn't asked who docked him and i wouldn't really know (truthfully),when is a person most likely going to be questioned over a docked tail in a serious manner? Higgins.

:notworthy: F*ck! Why didn't I think of that?!! Right; Later today ~ when the warmth of this Jamesons has worn off ~ I'll be digging out my big, puffy, lovely warm gloves and taking a well considered Stanley Knife to them! Few stitches, to keep everything tidy and ..... yeppers; I could well go into the business of making Happy Hunters! I'll make Me one, anyway! And those furry lined " Muck Boots " too! Oh, Pull Eeeease!!! My circulation's so bad now the blood almost grinds to a halt passing round my feet. And here's me trudging round in bog standard, steel toe capped gum b

well i was wondering if we should inform the queen before his next birthday, what home is he in and can we find any next of kin still alive to let them know? Higgins.
-
i think you would do well to visit their premises, the prices of the dogs are over the top as personally i wouldn't pay that sort of money for them, but as a marketing 'preview' you could get some good ideas from the way they operate,as long as i can remember they seem to be thriving although now trading as dogs4us it is pretty much the same setup as Mayfield Kennels whom they traded as previously, but back then there was some scandal involved probably whilst trading as Mayfield Kennels that their 'pedigree pups' were indeed not bonafide pedigrees.Maybe others on here can remember more detail

in the same breathlike tone as Ditchshitter quoting Stork... 'don't do anything we wouldn't do....'..i'm sure he will do many things we 'wouldn't do' and talk of many things 'we couldn't think of talking about'... happy birthday you 'connundrum stirrer',all the best and Happy New Year(by the way...the Jameson's mixed with Plymouth's sloe gin was excellent..) Higgins.

thanks for that Duckwing,i remember reading some of those in an earlier post, good reading too, so much so that they are still in the back of my head 'shelved'for future use,i'm in the process of getting a workshop in the back where i can do'all manner of things tempered and untempered' including making a few knives in between,Happy New Year, Higgins.
-
it's always interesting to read this stuff, makes you wanna 'have a go',i've never made a knife in my life, but would like to give it a go sometime, could there be more posts on cutting equipment to cut blades from circular saws as 'fibre 'Dremel tips mean nothing to me even though i have a grinding kit,how would you recognise a 'fibre'?Also tempering and untempering,i know this means hardening and un hardening of the metal, but maybe an explanation of the process and the reasons why, would help a few people who 'really wanna have a go'. Some excellent knives made there,Happy New Year, Higgi

i have a copy with DBP foreword in,it was a reprint approx 1982 from tideline books, now i think they are called Cohc-y-bondu books, don't know what the value would be now, Higgins.

Some belters there, could also mean are you drinking too much with the wrong friends, like the dog crate and the starfishman!LMFO,any more of these K9? Higgins.
-
good drinking and good hunting in the new year, Higgins.
-
got to hand it to you Socks, for thinking about keeping Tykes warm, hope everyone is sensible enough to realise our working companions are not that invincible to the cold out there, for a small price they would pay you back tenfold, Higgins.
-
The price of metal has shot up,due in most part to China needing more raw materials such as steel, a friend of mine who is in the scrap metal trade has reported very high prices quoted for copper, steel and aluminium metals, apparently they can't get this stuff fast enough.. Higgins.
