toting i'd like to see some of these JD swigging 'heroes' pulling their own teeth out,would be nice to watch how it is actually done on You Tube of all places, Higgins. PS (personally i don't think any drink would be strong enough to accomplish this feat!)

Jayjay sorry to hijack your thread pal but i'm after designing a shovel but made from a lightweight strong metal similar designed as yours but maybe a bit shorter to carry on your back with a strap and also a T-bar built in.Can any metal workers advise on a type of metal that would be light yet still strong enough in a short length,thanks, Higgins.

saw one on my way to work last year,couldn't believe my eyes,ran across the road in front of me while i was driving,at first i thought it was a silhouette as the sun was rising facing me,but when he got to the other side he was still jet black as he dived through the fence! Higgins.

ive got the forms here for canada,but dnt no if i want to go or not just found out the girlfriends pregnant so thats thrown a spanner in the works,and with the major banks going bust in america the building trade will probably be just as bad in canada. Are there any spades made from a light weight metal that's strong like titanium or Aluminium?

old nog get up early well before it gets light,get your equipment checked(take everything you need,don't forget torches)try to get there as early as you can after first light and slip your dog in,take notice of what's going on and be prepared for some digging!Best of luck and let us know how you went on, Higgins.

if your lamping then the best thing to do is switch your lamp off and call your dog in,or better still is train it to come straight back when the lamp has switched of.

agree with dogfox ,make sure you got all the gear to get your dog out(and those 'reliable numbers" in your mobile),after having the terrier and all the gear,the most valuable thing you can have is a few numbers on your mob to help you out when the dig turns deeper than you thought, Higgins.

this way of starting a terrier has it's benefits and disadvantages.Firstly you get to see how the dog does his work without the distractions of other dogs being present,the dog gets used to hunting with you.You have to trust the dog's nose,if he says 'now't in' give him the benefit because he can't smell anything.You'll know if there's something in,the dog will give it away,tail wagging furiously,,a determined effort to get in the hole reinforced with some digging from the terrier,you can test this at this point by walking off and calling him after you if he refuses to follow you, then he's s
