    When i was i bit younger i used to use the barracuda in my sharp inova and sharp ace both guns where played with and putting a lot of power out and the heavier pellets worked a treat on the pheasants, ive grown up a bit since and keep the right side of the law now and both rifles where destroyed some years ago. Them crow magnum pellets are pure rubbish and they where given to me i did not buy them,i use them only for close range humane killing of smaller quarry in traps.

    What a cracking thread, . i dont normaly read a lot of the longer threads as i start getting board but this one did not bore me at all, i was a bit sick when i seen the bird had passed away but my hat comes of to you for digging in and bringing another bird on,falconry need's more people with your type of minerals,i look forward to reading more of your thread when the season kicks in. One negative thing i have to say and it is 100% not in a bad way or intended to be but steer clear of the electric boxs mate like a good few folk have mentioned,because you have more chance of loosing your bird

    So you don't check your zero before you go shooting vermin? I dont check my zero(new term :sick: ) but i may do a bit of plinking along the way to make sure the first shot is fine..

    Not very often if it is done correct in the first place,if for some strange reason i change pellets or the gun gets a bad knock and i can not get a good group then i will alter again.

    Im sure they will grow out of it in time, but be carefull where the rat eating is concerned just incase any poison has been used near by. The pat x i have here never tried to eat stuff,instead of that he tried to shag everything when it was dead.

    When i first got mine about 4yrs ago i had the same problem so i sent it back to Air Arms and they fixed it for free, it had a fualty valve or some kind of regulator,i got it back and it was putting around 10.5ftlb out so i had a play with it and got it doing around the 11.5ftlb mark its been spot on ever since.

    The wire with the white line through it is 100% live (red), wire it the wrong way around and you will blow the charger, dont rely on putting a light bulb on the wires to see which is live because a bulb will work no matter which way around it is wired. This intormation is for a deben 400/800mA charger for 12v sealed lead acid batteries,and the wires are black not grey,unless you mean your lad has pulled the wires directly out of the charger itself,if that is the case ive never had it happen so i cannot give any advice on the matter.

    ,,i would not use them on a regular basis but you cant half pull some long shots of with them babies and not many fly of when clipped.

    Out of 10 differant brands of pellet i have tried through my .177 S410 the best grouping by far is with AA diablo field.
