  1. For some reason i can tell the difference no matter what size the leveret/hare is or rabbit infact, but back to the topic they have been breeding just about all year round for the past 7 yr's in my neck of the woods, i was out shooting bunnies last week with a messer of here and we spotted god knows how many leverets about the 3/4 bunnie size, and before the messer says anything that leveret i shot at was in the pissing down rain. .
  2. the way your going mate you might not have had it long anyway...... So true Watchman, they must of been a break in the production line when god was handing the grey matter out, going of some of the threads/posts on here lately.
  3. Here's a few options, im thinking of getting a new dog but i can not make mind stuborn mind up. 1. Bull X Greyhound 2. Bull Greyhound X Saluki Greyound 3. Bull Greyhound X Deerhound Greyhound 4. Wheaton Greyhound x Bull Greyhound 5. Collie Greyhound X Bull Greyhound 6. Or a good old Lurcher to lurcher X's
  4. That so called november hare looks to be a large leveret of around 6lb, its head is tiny and still growing, has your dog got no teeth because that is the cleanest hare i have ever seen killed or did you tell a few pork pies and crack it in the head with a gun/car,
  5. You have answered your own post there matey as to why you are struggling to keep the weight of her,SEMI retired springs to mind.
  6. It makes no difference what so ever whatever age you get them done, aslong as you are not bone idle and exercise them properly you wont have any issues, and getting it done early can also prolong the dogs life as it will reduce chance of mammary tumors and other complicated problems,if the dog has the prey drive in its head and breeding you could chop its leg's of and it will still try.
  7. heres a pic of my bitch shes only 11 month shes a 1st cross apbt x greyhound That's a nice stamp of a (BT) X Greyhound you have there, im sure you meant Bull terrier, , take it nice and slow with her and im sure she will fill the pot for you.
  8. thanks every 1. mate that bitch is heavyer than you think I am in no way calling your pooch or you mate so dont take this the wrong way as that look's a fine looking dog you have there, but if you excercise her the right way and feed her the right food she will loose a good few pounds and muscle up lovely, you say she is heavier than i think . .im sure she will be hitting the 80/90lb mark which makes no difference mate as she is not a overly stocky bitch and is carrying extra weight, get her out every day maybe twice a day for a couple of hours a session and in a months time you will see a
  9. Nice looking pooch Ryan161,but i would not class that as heavy, going from some of the brutes ive seen out there.
  10. Did it catch it though, if the fox felt pressured im sure that tail would be flicking about while it is spraying shit in the dogs face inbetween turning nigh on like a hare.
  11. I will 100% agree with all of what you have said, .
  12. Here's my old departed dog not the best foxing lurcher but he had a fair few back in pre 2005, he was mainly saluki with a touch of deerhound and cattle dog in him (no bull blood) on the other hand my bull X saluki grey that took the bull side would not touch a fox after half a dozen bites which where not bad ones.
  13. I dont mind a bit of snow but last year was a piss take,up north we had 3ft of snow for 5wk's which killed of all the barn owls and kestrels as they could not get to the voles and it wiped all the wren population out as well,it was that bad the sheep even struggled to walk through it and the crappy council ran out of rock salt to grit all the roads, one good thing though it sorted all the young boy racers out who have never driven in snow before who thought they could still do a million MPH,sadly a lot found out they could not and they was stuffed cars all over the country.
  14. I thought you only had to be a donator to sell dogs.
  15. Some how i dont think he will get much chance to sneak attack anyone like that in prison, but i hope it gets done to him for being a mindless bully.

Bang on, ive used one quite a lot over the past 3 yrs with a 20+ in bar on it and it gets through the toughest of dry oak like a knife through butter.
  17. Cracking reply JDD, so any messers and doubters out there stick that in your pipe and smoke it,thanks for the offer of a do out on the lamp but i have more than enough to go at further north. Good luck in finding some genuine hunting folk to take your dogs on.
  18. Just because they where easy to catch in one place does not mean there are easy to catch elswhere, i have been on the dales several times and some of the land on that vast area is really hard work for the most experienced of dogs, so in reality i think you need to make a lot more trips on the dales before you can judge that place accurately and honestly.
  19. Looking good im lucky if i get one bunnie local to me.
  20. I heard he gets £3 for 3 gutted bunnies or £100 for 100 gutted bunnies.
  21. If the going gets tough the tough get going, dont act to harshly and offload your dogs just take a back seat for a while until you have had time to think and mellow out.
  22. What do you expect he is a sweaty sock and a brain dead one at that. It's not hard to loose a working dog and i have had it happen on several occasions but i have been luckey enough to get them back within a day. Sorry to hear of your bitches sad ending but like has been mentioned its better to know than not know. Keep your chin up.
  23. They are feral pigeons mate,it looks like they is about 4 of them in your picture, round my way they put loads of spikes on the places where they roost to stop them cacking all over.
  24. Had one similar in my pond a few years back not as fat, but it could not swim very good, i was in the garden one day and the terrier was eating what i thought was a tomato under some bushes, when i went to investigate the little s.h.i.t had caught the gold fish and had ate half of it.
