  1. Ive clicked real because it is a real normal sized brown rat..i will see if i can take a picture of something small and make it look huge by holding it at arm,s length on a 3ft long stick in front of my mobile phone camera, if it work's out i will stick the picture on here.
  2. Plenty of hornets about down south and it is meant to feel like getting a hot rivet stuck in you when they sting, they dont leave there sting behind though only bee,s do that as there sting is barbed,i had a mut stung years ago about 4 times on his stomach and he came to no harm but he hates the thing now and jumps a mile even if a fly buzzes near him.

    Rats

It looks live a normal rat to me if you hold any item up against the camera it always makes it look bigger, then the sun news paper goes and exagerates it with a load of tall stories and hey presto we have super rats here now.
  4. Thats good you are half way there on cutting the cost .
  5. By the time you have bought the eggs in and had poor hatch rates which can happen when buying eggs on the net, coupled with the buying of rearing pellets and the cost of electric for the incubator and heat lamp, it may work out cheaper to buy some trios of 6wk old hardened of birds in that are ready to go straight onto the layers pellets.
  6. They are evil little buggers but the damage can be minimised if you give them plenty of room with conifer branches laid about for cover..when they get to about 5 weeks old the males will start bickering with each other so they are best kept with 3 or more females to a male..if you keep it to 3 females the fertility rate is better im getting on average 75% hatch rates this way.. When they hatch it is best to put a shallow water bowl in full of pebbles this should be left in there for upto 4 days after that you can put a normal low drinker in there.. Cheap as chips to feed up i use the normal

  11. I have a oriental background so be carefull with the yellow or i will report you to admin. I fly my bird regular he is a male and weighs 2lb 9oz when he looses his fat ive killed 260 head with him in one season most of them where cock pheasants out of release pens but they still count because he had a good 2000 yrd chase on them. i say 2000 yrds but thats what he does best when he hunts from the trees. i get tired running after him at times but it worth while in the end.and it keeps me fit and im a dab hand with the telemetry now.bit expensive on the bateries but they you go. i might be tempt

    AA s410

Ive had a carbine .177 for the past 4yrs and ive killed a lot of stuff with it..you get around 60 accurate shots from a 190bar fill but its a bit arratic till it hits the 150bar mark that is where it is very consistant down to around 100bar then it start to get unconsistant again. Realy accurate and quiet guns well made and i love the 10 shot loading system..ive cracked bunnies in the nut at 50+ yrds with no side wind and you can regularly get a 10 shot grouping at 30yrds in a penny..using airarms field and target pellets..i tried lots of brand of pellet but none matched air arms pellets for
  13. I would say that flying a harris to learn the ropes will do you no good whatsoever when you finaly take a gos on. they are 2 totaly differet birds with totaly different manners and manning and training methods. If i where you i would try and find someone local who flies gos's and go out with him/her for a full season. If you cut the corner and opt for a easier solution what will you do with the harris/redtail once you have decided you are ready for a gos.?. Do what you think is right and get some good books to read. my favourite one i have here is A Hawk For The Bush it's mainly on spar's b
