  1. So what gee fooking wizz accidents do happen you know ,the lad is over the moon with his day out and you spout that to knock him down, Good going Lugsy and its good see you enjoyed it so much, i see you maybe owning a hawk next year now the bug has taken hold, .
  2. Rabbits have very little nutritional value to a hawk, squirrels do though and also do rats which i have a freezer full of, i would imagine moles being a good food source as well if they could be caught in good numbers, i have heard folk say nothing will eat moles but my ferrets love them.
  3. We are all entitled to our opinions and views DUCKWING but i disagree with what you have said,i have not examined any mink gut contents but i know the common frog which is a native of this country is on the decline and so is the once abundant water vole which certainly could do without the damage that mink cause to them, also the summer ducklings and other young water birds get devastated by the mink population and do the adult by nightly attacks by mink. I was out with the hounds several years ago and they where called to a caravan park by a river, which held a large population of free rangi
  4. To my knowledge they is no season or close for this nonindiginous pest species, fook the pound signs just kill them on sight, this species of mustelid is very dangerous to our ecosystem and needs controlling even if it cost's the trapper/shooter money.
  5. Thats a cracking bit of craftmanship , i would be happy if i could get to that stage, when i was younger i had enough trouble making them out of coat hangers and knicker elastic ,never mind carving one out a single peice of lumber.
  6. Fook me mate thats a big one..i knew it was big when i seen the prints but not that big.. ..dont worry about the pelt just keep up the good work all through the year and kill as many as you can and the squirrels.. .
  7. They will be fine mate mine get full mackeral when they are in season, i boil them first, they have been eating them for years with no problem

are you sure that dog killed that mink???????the dog asnt got a chunk missing out of its face :tongue2: only jokeing mate good pic  I suspect the terrier in question has had major surgery and a skin graft to repair the big chunk missing from its face, .
  9. The brown fluffy pup im thinking about looks like it from Shitsu/Lhasa Apso X Deacon lines.. .
  10. If anyone has problems with the belt pack slipping down, why not stitch a strong set of brace on the belt so it is over your shoulders aswell as around your waste.
  11. Which side of the parents has the fluffy one taken after.. . Cracking looking litter and they seem to be doing realy well.
  12. Very wise words Moll, they are a good bit of kit especially if you want to keep the edge on the muts but can not through bad weather, the top greyhound lads dont use them for nothing.
  13. They is a fine line though pal she needs to see plenty of easy ones but not too much only you can judge when she has had enough, slow and steady is the order of the day. If you have a ferret and some nets and a big bag you are laughing .
  14. That a nice looking pooch you have there and dont give in with her,ive had young dogs eat them/do the wall of death around the field/ run 3 fields away with them and leave them/bury them in the ground and god knows what else, just persevere and dont give in and deffinetly dont loose your rag with the pup,she is still learning, just keep her at it as often as you can and im sure she will do you proud when she matures.
  15. I dont know how i know this but i would say he is in the south yorkshire area, .

    Mink

Im sure he will have to trap or shoot it as it is not allowed to hunt them with dogs.
  17. Type Tawny Owl into google and it will stick you some images up.
  18. Cant you take turns at locking the birds on there own in secure pens, you will be able to pinpoint the culpret that way instead of necking the lot and starting again.
  19. They is some shadey looking charecters there, Cracking pictures and it looks like good fun i would love to have a go at ratting but im petrified of rats. .
  20. The only positive comment i can add to this thread, IS most folk talk out of there arses and have never seen a plummer work let alone a so called black/chocolate...rough/smooth dog.
  21. A friend of a friend has had a origional one for nearly 13yrs,this dog has led a very productive life and is still going strong be it only on the rats be he still kills good numbers every year.
  22. You might have to drop that price mick, honeybrook fire them out for £7.40 per a box of 200 and the more you buy the cheaper they get.
