  1. I dont know what to think, does it kill stuff ?
  2. I would personaly prefer a mouth full of Beaver
  3. Thats the spirit Geordie let them charlies grow up for the terriers.
  4. Good strong looking terriers.Nice to have young stuff showing a lot of potential.
  5. 12months,some wouldnt even consider running a dog on biting quarry at that age,do you just love those early starters
  6. Some people thick as shit, its a small world and it doesnt take long for the word to get around that your either a liar, cheat or both.Play the game straight atleast you can sleep at night and not have to look over your shoulder.
  7. Thats the one Stabs, one things for sure small or not letting her go isnt easy,if I hadnt found exactly the right home for her she would be going no where.
  8. Hes looking happy and healthy.roll on september.Rabbits only now
  9. Here she is pictured with my terrier dog,he is strong but (so far)has never had a problem getting to his fox.Taking little punishment yet finishing most foxes in quick time IMHO kind on the dog kind on the quarry. No good if you wish to wave your hat and shout tally-ho :11:
  10. This bitch has thrown small ,1st time this line was bred so tight and the last,I personaly dont relish the idea of a to small David V Goliath competition below ground with working terriers its to small David that gets smashed by goliath. JDarcy true some litter mates will not be as game as others but like I said I know my dogs and this bitch will be to hard,How do I know?Experiance not as much as most but more than some. Personaly I find it quite amusing when people jump to the conclusion the hard dogs cant stay, just because their hard(contarary to popular belief) doesnt mean there thick
  11. Nice looking bitch with a bit of luck and patience the nervousness will hopefully become less.
  12. i think its grand that u dont want 2 see the little bitch knocked about and look forward 2 the day u show the same respect 2 all ur terriers. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dont talk out your arse Potter all my dogs get the respect they deserve, just because they dont work in the style you would like to dictate dont knock them.As for Buck Breay or anybody else all we can go on is what they said"Dont use a dog on your bitches that wont regularly kill its fox".This thread is about a little bitch that at just over 11inches and about 13 pound inweight wont be up to the job, simple as that.S
  13. Duzabit, your entitled to your opinion as much as anybody,This isnt a case of size or hardness but more a bit of both.To small to be hard .I personaly would take no pleasure in trying to put the bitch back together after a decent dig and definatly no pleasure in burying her.I prefer a large game terrier thats big enough and ugly enough to look after themselves.
  14. Looks like a pair of Great tits to me :11:
  15. JDarcy,I know the line of terriers I know how they work. The last mating was probably a bit tight resulting in the bitch not making it up to size.If I thought she would be an out and out bayer I might give her the benefit of the doubt but she wont be.Taffys bitch has the same sire as mine,I think he wishes his would bay a little bit more.
  16. How about an annual poof shoot? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Only problem is when you make the pies you have to do 2 lots of mincing
  17. Here is a pic of Royston2s working Dachs. :11:
  18. I asked a question in a thread about the sizes required in a terrier to do a decent days work.I asked this question because I had a small terrier bitch from good breeding and showing all the right signs.Well today I made up my mind she was to small, she was keen enough firing into quarry the lurcher had bought down keen enough to make me happy, but, keen enough for me to realise it would not be fair to work such a small bitch. It would give me no satisfaction to see a little bitch badly hurt ,so she goes to a home where a bit of rating and bushing perhaps an occasional bolt ,but no more. There is h
  19. Sounds like your living the life,I reckon you have left the bit out about cuddling big injuns to keep warm lol
  20. I was chatting to a lad the other evening, and he was telling me that deer have been reported as starving to death in some parts of Scotland due to competition. That is a sad state of affairs.
  21. Pat,as its middle of may I have time on my hands, dogs get a rest quarry(unless call outs)gets a rest. All I would say to a new comer is do your home work. Not being lucky enough to be born into working dogs and having to find things out the hard way probably has something to do with my contempt for those that use their name and positions to rip off newcomers.Common sense would probably tell you that a dog being openly advertised in the countrymaids weekly(pics and all)would definatly be one to keep away from your honest working bitches.
  22. Shame all this show chit-chat cant be kept to the "Show and Event forum" I dont mind a show,to meet mates, have a laugh and a pint or 2 but when it gets a bit serious it realy does bore me shitless(I know all wont agree)to have a thread about hard terriers in the same forum as all these show pretender shit dogs is a bit much.IMHO Middleton blood is for show,Ludlum blood is for show.So theres 2 names to steer clear of if you want working blood. Anybody want to add some more?
  23. Perhaps you have been lucky perhaps you dont demand from a dog what others do.There is a line I will always go back to as it rarely seems to turn out failures.Perhaps I am lucky perhaps I dont demand what others do. :11:
