I agree with a lot of what you say,but none of that was in the post was it? Just a picture of 2 terriers and 4 dead cubs.A lot of us have and will get asked to deal with cubs.You can discuss the pros and cons but I dont know many that would bother to take a pic unless they are trying to be controversial.The one terrier with the collar on looks fairly old but I havnt seen any pics of it on here in winter with adult foxes.

A dog with a collar on that looks like its never been dirty in its life and a picture taken in the garden. A doubting person might suggest the picture is staged... Typical plummer stuff killing cubs and claiming it to be the bees knees. Wheres the vixen ?

Gently twist and pull the tick off your dog, if more than a few spray with frontline or duramitex(duramitex diluted with water).Sheep dip is banned I believe gives you cancer jeyes fluid I dont like it doesnt do the dogs any good(damages eyes etc)JMO.

Thats why a Bullx will get marked it wont let them get away even if its a bad hold and it means a bit of pain the bullx will grab withers or no withers. As for collie IQ probably a decent trainer would get better results(obediance,retrieving respecting nets etc)with a decent colliex than they might expect with another type.I dont know if trainability = inteligence.Just as many collies get killed on the roads as other types.

All I can suggest is to have a look at both parents if you would feel confident with the parents then a pup from them would probably be ok. I have terriers that have excellent temperaments,having said that I would never leave any dog with any child unsupervised its asking for trouble.JMO

Aslong as people are honest about their dogs capabilities and what thy are used for havnt got a problem. Its the kenneling side of plummers that would put me off them before we even got to the field very noisy and bad fighters (puppy killers).

I dont know where patterdales got this reputation for being headbangers from.Yes a good patterdale is game it will engage its fox and kill it,but the best patterdales Ive seen have always been of decent temperament and quiet round the house and kennel.If I was starting out in terriers the only thing I would insist on is that there is a history of workers in his bloodlines be that russel,lakeland,Border or even plummer lol.

Funny that Stevie,with the type of terrier I like to work the longer you leave them after their 1st dig (generaly an easy shallow earth) the harder they will be .I had 2 brothers 1 was a bad scrapper but I liked him so I gave his brother to a [bANNED TEXT] and entered the one I kept early in an attempt to calm him.The brother came out with us very rarely had one dig and was then left for 2 years.The one I kept was in all honesty worked to hard in his 1st and 2nd season but he learnt when to use his voice and when he didnt need to.I got the other brother back at 2 years and he was entered he wa

I love it .All the rabbit hunters getting all superior complaining about not getting the recognition they deserve,the 1st thing they do is start slagging off game terriers and bullxs . I think alot of it comes down to the novelty aspect a lot of hunters have taken well over 100 rabbits in a week some even in a day.Where with foxes deer etc the numbers have to be a lot less to impress. Most hunters have as socks says started out hunting the humble rabbit and most of us will end with the rabbit they deserve respect.

In an ideal world I think the quarry that I would like to have permision to hunt only for a week or 2 would be the otter,a challenge for the terriers and also a bit of fun for the type of lurcher I have at the moment.

My Grandad lost 2 brothers fighting the extreme right wing (Nazis),he hates the way this country has gone but no way is the BNP the way to go.In past BNP litterature they used to be proud of the fact they were anti hunting!.Their ranks are full of rapists and peadophiles if you think your kids/wives are safer under a government like that go ahead make your vote. Me Ive lost to much freedom already to past and present governments if the BNP ever get in power they will certainly devour what little freedom we have left. I will quite happily fight them in whatever form is most effective.

The brindle is a 1stx the fawn dog is roughly 3/8 5/8 and stands about 29 inch to the shoulder.
