  1. When Ive heard the term Staghound it either bring to mind the large foxhound type dog.Or it bring to mind the Deerhoundx,as thats the term Ive heard used when travelers talk about Deerhoundxs.
  2. I think all should be welcome famous or not, emailed to IanB then numbered sounds good.Perhaps the more famous lol could give a bit of advice on how to set about constructing an article, structure etc. Perhaps a seperate competition for those under 15 or 16. I always like to see a few pics but that might give the identity away perhaps pics could be added later .
  3. Sounds intresting but how would it be judged?I would expect popularity/fame of article writer would win votes over article quality and content.
  4. brok i bet you were glad to get her back from your mate what did he expect from a young dog she looks great what wieght does she go 25/28lb whats she like with other dogs etc my glens are fine with other dogs until there challanged and fcuk they can scrap best of luck with her and the pups bbunter 3 years young dog? Most decent terriers would have had atleast 1 hard seasons work by that age.
  5. Well that will be the europeans then.....as the ones in Australia and Newzealand are feral pigs.As chilli says there are lads that have taken feral pig in this country with dogs(not neccasarily Bullxs though this breed seems to upset you)and they are not getting smashed up mullered or anything else.I can guarantee more dogs will be pulverised by motor cars this year than by wild/feral boar/pigs.
  6. LOL get a grip theres a few lads that have been taking feral pigs with their dogs for a little while now,and there not getting smashed to pieces either.
  7. The best coursing dogs owned by travellers ...............only because theyve been nicked off some poor f****r. You have only personal experiance to go by in life and my personal experiance of travellers genuine or not genuine has been very negative, the crimes commited by travellers in my area include rape and assault on kids,on the dates in court the familys and aquaintances turn up in great numbers in my view trying to intimidate witnesses jurys etc. To make matters even worse that c**t David Essex turns up singing songs LOL. Even on here we have braveheart falling into character t

    fox & Cats

I think that might be a personal record 2 people agreeing with me
  9. At the moment if meat is short mine get chappie.20% protein.
  10. I let my terriers bush rabbits if they get to excited around a rabbit hole a slight raising of the voice is enough to get them on the move again.Ive never had a problem with a terrier going to ground on a rabbit. The only terriers ive had to dig to with rabbits are the ones that are rarely out of kennels and have been assured by the owners its broke to rabbit lol. All terriers are broke to rabbit until you dig one lol. The advantages gained by letting pups work cover and chasing rabbits certainly outweighs the dissadvantages IMHO.Once again if your terrier is frustrated at being locked up all

    fox & Cats

young or old cats possably at risk but JMO probably a road casualty.
  13. do they look like cubs Judging by the tails yes they are cubs, they may be well grown but that doesnt make them adult not physicaly or mentaly. If its got to be done its got to be done.More heroes. To be brutaly honest looks like the work of a night on the rifle trying to be passed off as some big mans dog work.JMO of course but why no pics of the terriers etc etc etc.
  14. Definatly choclate-box....... . In the 1st pic the terriers on the left and right look like they are not on speaking terms.........they all look in top nick.
  15. I wouldn't think so....they're in the Netherlands. Another person who's mouth writes cheques that his brain cant cash ! No.........its true...they definatly have more chance of winning a couple of seats in Cleaveland than in Holland
  16. Ive heard that they have a good chance of winning a couple of seats in Cleveland
  17. My 1st terrier was a lakelandx russel the sire was a pedigree show dog that lined a small queen anne legged russel.I was bought him for a ferreting dog but he went on to much greater hights(depths lol) than that.He wasnt well bred he had a bad temper and killed a neighbours cat.Sorry no pics.

    Dog Attack

It may well have been a"raging pitbull"....unless you were a witness whos to tell........the job of a journalist is to sell papers......the job of a dog owner is to be a responsable owner.................sounds like the journalist has done their job shame the owner didnt do theirs.

    VETERAN LURCHERS

Any half decent lurcher that is worked reasonably hard will not make old bones JMO.
  20. Well there has been quite a long thread on this site started by IMO not a very good pic of 4 dead cubs and a couple of terriers.I am not against the killing of cubs infact in some cases it is a real necessity. I personaly would of liked a bit of background information about the days pest control why?where?how?.Even just one of these questions answered would of been of intrest.A pic of 4 dead cubs laying in a grass field is again IMO piss poor. Some of the lads on here jump on the band wagon not realy reading and definatly not understanding where myself and others are coming from.Should we be
  21. Bolt or kill.........I think thats what the standard should be for the coulored terriers........if the quarry is of the type that cant be bolted or killed if you cant dig you would be a fool to enter.......if your permision or hunting is all on a pest control basis and not for sport then the terrier will have to be entered (again only if its a beatable quarry) .......you will at sometime loose a terrier if you cant dig all you can do is wait.........its a hard life being a terrier and sometimes a short one .........one of the reasons a lot of terriermen have a big kennels.
  22. Sounds like youve answered your own question to me mate........if your stags enjoy doing the job and they are catching thats what I would stick with ...the hares will hopefully keep your dogs very fit and on the button a neccessaty I would imagine for running coyotes....sometimes we all look for that something a little bit special a little bit better and a lot of the time its less than a yard away wagging his tail looking you in the face LOL..... and yes you are a loud f****r I thought you and ratkilla were going to have a shouting competition.lol Good luck with the move and good luck with
