  1. yep I been thinking about one for a while as well, why would you want an hmr when the .22 is so much better, a mate of mine has one and uses the Hornady 30gn vmax in his and I have to say what a cracking little rifle, and of course, you can have a semi auto,
  2. What a splendid analagy,Austin princess and a Hatstand lol
  3. Totally unacceptable, take it back, and get Andy to give you what you paid for it against a used decent quality auto,Benneli being the best, followed by Berreta,Franchi,Winchester ect,or if you cant afford one get a refund and save up,when will people stop buying these, cheap and nasty 3rd rate Turkish Hatstands, they are a pile of CRAP, honestly mate buy something decent,I can see the attraction becouse they are cheap for a new gun,but they dont work, bin it
  4. I agree, however I can assure anyone that Nikon scopes are not compromising, after all they make the best cameras in the world, so know a thing or two about glass
  5. I'll call if i need you Make that me as well mate, cheers.
  6. Splendid old chap, glad to see someone getting a few, they seem a bit thin on the ground round me @ the moment,of course that might have something to do with my .243 lol.
  7. Well it wont bud,the lazer is just like a boresighter, just to get you roughly on target,it sounds like a scope/mounts issue,if you want to test the rifle, clamp it down, securely without the scope on,look down the bore and line that up with your target/backstop,then fire 5 rounds and see how she groups,if that is not possible, swap the scope and mounts, and try zeroing conventionaly,ie boresight/lazer alighn, then tweak it from there, obviously difficult to tell, without being there, but it is sounding like the scope or mounts mate, even more so as you say it was fine before, good luck let us know how
  8. bit more info would be good mate, has the rifle got a moderator fitted? If so have you checked it make sure its not comming loose ect, have you tried another scope on it,could be a scope issue?work through each variable and eliminate them, try some shots without the moderator on,if it groups ok you know the problem,I would be tempted to beg, steal, borrow some different mounts, just to eliminate them, also, are you reloading for it or shooting factory ammo?
  9. Welcome mrs pinguu, ahhh a fellow dreadlock, well good on you girl,
  10. Yep I think so to,should be easy enough to find out, either measure it with a caliper,or try one or two different mods on it at the gunshop.
  11. Well I doubt a little tree shaking would scare him that much tbh,but you never know I guess, what did he weigh when you got him back?was he up or down,is he feeding ok, just not comming to the fist?the other possibility(but unlikely) is has someone found him,and tried to fly him,and scared the living daylights out of him,as stated, might be an early moult, and start from scratch later in the year,I wish you well with him mate, let us know how its going.
  12. And just to add,it will be helpful (although not obligitary) if you could get a letter off a fellow shooter, who has an open ticket,to support you and say he thinks you are suitable for an open condition.
  13. Inch high at 100yds for me mate, have a play around at various ranges, after your initial zero, say out to 250,this will give you the best idea of what,if any holdover you require.
  14. Thats what I was kind of thinking,I have freinds who use terriers for flushing for hawks, and they never have a problem, however,I do take on board the advice from people, who say it is a bad idea, will have to think hard about this one,as I dont really want to go down the gundog route, thanks for your input though lads.
  15. Hi lads, thinking about getting a terrier as a,dog to flush, bunnies, pheasants ect,to the gun and hawk,so with that in mind, would any breed be the best for what I require? Or will they all pretty much do the same, advice please lads.
  16. 'Buy once cry once' is a well known figure of speech - obviously lost on you. 'Lee one then' Hm... Chalk and Cheese - hopefully that does not need explaining to you !! I can assure you,I do not need an explanation, and yes I have heard the saying also, perhaps with hindsight,I should not have attempted humour, when dealing with such a serious topic as primer pocket cleaning, had I but known that it would have resulted in a sense of humour faliure on your part I would have agreed with you,in fact after your considered wisdom,I shall plunge my inferior Lee model into the depths of the nearest
  17. Depends on how much you want to spend dude, for my money,£400 will get you a mint second hand,8x56 s+b,you really cant go wrong with one of them, that said I am a huge fan of Nikon scopes,my 3-9x50 prostaff is amazing, and zero remains pinpoint all the time, brilliant scopes.
  18. Try to hit them in the head, instead of the guts, they dont tend to run far then.
  19. I hope being a gentleman you did the right thing and gave her a....ahem.... a shoulder to cry on Ohhhh aye mate, still am some bit of gear ill tell yea, swallows too oooops too much info lol What a load of shit!!!.... I believe him he's not the one saying gays are cool! bite hard on that pillow lab I never said Gays are cool....i'm just not that shallow to say that i dont like gays. Fair enough these twats like Rylan and that, over camp....but its not the gay part i dislike its just that style of person i dislike. Theres plenty folk out there in day to day that are ga
  20. What so you bought it and it made you cry? think I will stick with my Lee one then.
  21. tell him to send me one free of charge, that should help him out lol it will get a good hunting home, You beat me to it Arctic, tell him to send me one as well, then he only has one to worry about.
  22. Be no good for you anyway, you would have to buy a full lengh resizing die.and lube, far to much messing around
  23. Dont forget you will get stung with 25 quid fecking import tax plus your postage charge, still way way cheaper than rip off Britain though.
  24. Brilliant mate, I bought one for my .243 last year, the rifle was accurate before, but the Boyds stock turned it into a complete tack driver, not to mention,it looks stunning as well, would recomend one 100%.
