    Try just flying her from the glove, lamping of course being the best example, flying from the trees a lot does tend to encourage self hunting,if she is given a good reward for flying to the glove from a tree, is there any wonder she cant wait to get back to the trees I would have thought, get her out lamping mate asap

    Spot on BH. it is not the fact that police wish to check security, I and I hope no other fac holders here have anything to hide, what the fuss is about (at least as far as I am concerned) is the fact that previously, the police had to ring and notify you they wished to attend and check your firearms, not just turn up ad lib and ask to come in, how this helps with national security is beyond me I totally agree that if there is some intelligence against an fac holder, or he has commited a serious offence, then yes of course the police should be able to just turn up, I dont think anyone is quest

    As far as I was aware and certainly what I have read in the past, the police have no right to turn up without an appointment to view your firearms, has this position changed? If you dont actually know the answer please dont reply, I am not asking for supposition, or hearsay, but an answer from someone who genuinely knows, obviously I am not including the right to enter in the belief that a crime is taking place, when (and rightly so) the police can enter premises, I fail to see how these measures will combat terrorism, more likely it is an excuse for legitimate gun owners to be targeted, and h

    Try flying a redtail then you will understand what frustrated is, look seriously, it is no longer about weight, the hawk is always looking for the easier option, as you would, dont feed her on the glove at all now, feed her on the lure, make her work for every mouthful, and as you want to lamp her, feed her in the dark under the lamp, I will bet next months wages she smashes everything, that is exactly what I found with my last female HH.

    We are not talking about leaving the moderator on after shooting, that will most deffo screw up your crown and the first couple of inches of barrel from the muzzle, due to the condensation inside the moderator dripping down onto the crown and threads and into the barrel itself, I will repeat what I said earlier, I have a mate who has never cleaned his .222 in around 18 years of owning it, ok he has not shot thousands of rounds through it, but even at a hundred rounds a year that is eighteen hundred rounds, and the rifle is still super accurate, capable of shooting a 1/2 inch group at 100 yards

    Runswick bay can be brilliant fishing as well mate, google it and there is loads of good information, if you are worried about losing tackle, take plenty of leads with you and use a rotten bottom, that way you only lose the lead, and not your whole rig, tight lines mate

    Sounds like the dog to me as well mate, its a catch 22 though, fly without a dog and she wont build confidence, fly with one and she may not try to her ability but the bird building up her catch rate is the most important, so if it was me the dog would stay at home

    Shows what he knows then, I have a mate who has never cleaned his .222 in around 18 years of owning it, and it is still a very very accurate rifle, more rifles have been ruined by over enthusiastic "cleaning" than shooting. Makes you wonder why there is bore solvent, copper remover, brushes, rods, etc etc etc.............. apparently nothing needs cleaning? :hmm: I know its amazing what crap the gun trade spout to sell their products isn't it? :hmm:and as for a pull through ruining the crown well I make mine from fly fishing line, love to see that damage a crown

    Correct pal, I never use a brush on mine, just a pull through with some kitchen roll soaked in Phillips barrel cleaner (that is not meant to remove copper fouling) then patch out until clean, the bore is always sparkling clean afterwards, I have cleaned the .243 like this every 30-50 rounds for the last 9 years, it will shoot a ragged one hole group @ 100 yards if I do my bit, in other words, it works for me
