  2. but on the flip side take a second to think how much it cost to put that one bird into the larder ... it aint cheap... and not many shoots make a profit... fact
  3. What part was that then cant see that post of yours anywhere in this fred only the bit where you jump on mine? all i am saying is why would you want to call a dog off a fox unless its for tea and biscuits the dog is there to do what it is breed for working a fox till it is dug or it has bolted only thing i could think of if you was calling you dog out is if you new it was on a rabbit and there was a chance it would come out ? you said yeh what ever you say, a bitch iv just retired has stayed to ground for 7 or so hours working away at her quarry at a dig that was only 2 shovel
  4. well you pair of ????? , if you took the time to look back at the thread i put up about it at the time you would know exactly why!!! and guess what she didnt even have a collar on i was out dogging pheashants in (chasing them back to where they should be) on a huge broom bank, one minute she was there the next she was gone, so a slow search was started, to no avail at first, i left to speak to the near by farmers, then returned and looked again, this time i found her in a single holer, nothing more than a scraped out bunny hole..... so thats how i only wish my dogs were like yours, una
  5. noy sure about the picture thing, i canm do that and i aint a donator
  6. i agree The thing is, you two DIDN'T enter the competition, and obviously don't know the rules , so even though you are welcome to your oppinion; it means nothing as far as the comp goes !! If the Olympic 100 meter final has a runner pull out thru' injury; does the runner he beat in the semi get asked to run in the final????? Of course not ! Cheers. surely its like wise now you have been knocked out off it???
  7. saw this picture on someones aviator a week or so back, i thought it looked familiar so had a quick look through some of my photos, well today i found it in my files, it was posted on a thread i started in the trapping section, just cant remember whos it was, any ideas ??? just wondering why they used it for there pic... no skin off my nose, just curious at why they didnt just ask
  8. yeh what ever you say, a bitch iv just retired has stayed to ground for 7 or so hours working away at her quarry at a dig that was only 2 shovel fulls, but she still stayed and worked away ( self entered, post on here) yet i could put her to ground and let her get to work and shout her off, and out she would come, if moron macho diggers (not dogmen) like you think a dog like this aint worth breeding from your mental, its another feather in a working dogs cap, and a one thats worth more than there weight in gold

  11. yep they do have there place, but(not in your case by the sounds of it) alot ofthe need can be taken out by proper basic training.... it only goes wrong when the owner dont know when to zap and when not too

  19. feck me dogs that must have taken you a week to type, but it was worth it, a very good thread starter.. i aint got much to add, apart from 90 percent of mine are based around the wooden box, very few natural sited fenns.. imo you can make them , as you have said, almost invisible to the un trained eye with just a little time and effort....
  20. its dead eye its dead did it get hit wi a cannon Aye a cannon fae 3 yards. Why you would put that picture on when you are trying to promote and sell a wee shoot day beats me? stevie i agree 100 percent mate.... it was posted on another thread on here not so long ago... f*****g shamefull if you ask me, nearlly as shame full as the tash of the guy that shot it
  21. I knew this keeper very well, have beaten on his shoot for the last 6 years, you couldnt have wished to meet a more helpful and appreciative keeper, always made sure he said morning to every beater and picker up and at the end of the day shook everyones hand before paying them with a personal thankyou while his wife dished up pork pie and beer. I was supposed to be on his shoot on 29th Dec and that will be a sad day for me knowing it wont be going ahead because of whats happened. My heart goes out to his wife, sons and grandchild, he will be deeply missed, and i hope the Police catch the ba$ta
  22. a deer farm up the road from us was wanting some different blood into there herd, so were culling the two breeding stags, 2 yanks came overe and paid stupid money just to pull up, and pull the trigger.... not to mention what they wanted to shoot as well
  23. I still feel that yesterday we did everything right , it was the other dog that wasnt on a lead & it wandered up to the dog, basically the owners fault for not having it on a lead you got it in one there
