Ogmore illegal shock collar dog owner gets £2,000 fine
Nik_B replied to the night hunter's topic in General Talk
RSPCA and a bunch of freaks. This happened in Wales though and they are banned there. What is worse punishing a dog for misbehaving or not recalling?? or being like so many park dog owners who have an animal that is completely out of control once of the lead. I despair!! -
I stared at her breasts for 40 seconds no probs

This is the one you want. Been going ages and has a lot of subscribers. http://www.eureferendumcampaign.com/EU_Referendum_Campaign.html The one you posted sounds like BNP....and while I agree with everything on that website it will be ignored because it sounds racist or what ever. In my opinion it is vital to get control of our country back from the EU first then we can deal with the other stuff later. The human rights act is being horribly abused and while it exists in it's corrent form we don't stand a chance of sorting out crime, immigration etc.

Very true, we should withdraw from the EU with billions of pounds saved per year maybe it would even cover the deficit!

"A teacher earning £32,000 can expect an inflation-proofed pension of £24,000, for which they currently contribute just 6.4pc of earnings. Those in the private sector would need a pension fund worth £500,000 to buy the same retirement income, which would require contributions of 33% of their net pay." There maybe some inaccuracy but it's not a million miles away and demonstrates part of the problem.

they are final salary pensions....guaranteed. Private sector pensions can lose value, or not increase in value as much as expected which would mean those people would have to put more away to make up the shortfall. People are living in to their 80s and longer, what you contribute into your pension is not enough to pay for it. So where should the shortfall come from, should the tax payer take up the slack or should you put a bit more away each money? Many of my friends and family are teachers, I respect your profession but the public sector pension is unsustainable in it's current for

The simple fact is that there is a giant deficit that needs to be reduced urgently otherwise the UK is likely to lose it's credit rating. The country basically has a huge credit card and the deficit is what we are spending over what we are making, to pay off the credit card we have to reduce spending, even if we reduce spending by 20-30 billion we still have a debt that is hundreds of billions of pounds. What is happening to other countries like Ireland/Greece etc is that their credit rating has become bad i.e. they are a bigger risk to lend money to them. This means they have to pay higher in

My wife is a teacher as well and they don't get paid that bad she's on well over 30 grand. Plus there is a very nice final salary pension thrown in that makes up for the slightly lower wage compared with the private sector. Sure they work hard but so do many other people who get nothing close to that and much less time off. This isn't an attack on the teachers this is an attack on a system that is costing the tax payer more and more and is unsustainable! At the end of the day if there's no more money in the pot why should the rest of us get hammered with tax so public sector (with their g

Got a mate who lifts his dog over fenses by holding the skin on his back a bit like this. The dog doesn't mind at all.

Problem with Labs is they look docile and cute. I get people just strolling up to mine to stroke him without asking. He doesn't like that and will growl or bark. He's a big muscular dog and they normally back off quickly when he does that. People can be really stupid with dogs and don't respect their boundaries, having said that I wouldn't let my dog off the lead near anyone else's kids and will keep an eye on him when he's playing with my daughter. Once he bit me totally by accident, he was snapping at one of his toys on the bed and missed and bit my shin instead. The pain was unreal. Th

I read that article as well, I was taught never to use the bead or aim like I would a rifle so wouldn't it teach bad practice? I think sporting gun needed something to fill a few extra pages. I am fairly new to the sport and I think I'd rather spend the money with a good coach and learn to shoot properly.

What bothers me about all of this is what is going to happen if they extradite someone who is later found to be innocent. At that kind of age they could easily die away from their home or families. IMHO Justice has pretty much been served as all of the architects of the holocaust are dead, many of whom were caught and punished. I think it's time to let sleeping dogs lie. -
Both barrels of a 12 bore and then would have legged it

I have always trained recall and he does go through very good patches where I can recall him away from other dogs, just recently he's been hard work. If I am to stop letting him off the lead how do they get their exercise? My lab has huge amounts of energy and I let him run it off usually before we do any training, as there is no where I can go that is dog free what would you suggest?

We're having the same problem with our Labrador. It's a dog that hasn't been castrated and he is a wilful little bast4rd. I find it comes in phases and some days he can be very good and other days really bad. Yesterday he ran off and I couldn't find him, when I did find him he was playing with another dog and refused to return to me. When I got hold of him I gave him a massive boll**king and put him straight on the lead. The problem is that there seems to be nothing he is more interested in than playing with other dogs. I hear people saying that I should be more interesting than the other

Thats not bad, how old are you? I'm 38 and got quoted from £700 up to £1500 for my 2001 range rover v8. FInally found insurance for just over 500 which I was chuffed with.

I imagine it is a tradition. People controling pests would have put them somewhere obvious so the farmer can see you have been doing something useful.

I was told that feathers from live birds had sime kind of mites or something on them and that they could spread to the other fishing flies and destroy everything. Is there any truth to this or is it just BS?

Isn't it funny how you can be thinking about something and then a post appears on the forum the same day? I have also been thinking about getting something like this. When I first heard about them I thought they sounded cruel but having read more about them it's just like having longer arms so you can tell the dog off at range. My lab has suddenly started taking the mick again and bolts when he sees other dogs. He can be hard to recall and just like a teenager will come back but do it in his own time. I ahve bookmarked that Petsafe one and will think about ordering it.

yea obviously mate, but what i mean is aftyer getting your family to safety, would you give up your place for somone elses kids and wife? i honestly believe in by gone days, that men were more concerned of what was the right thing to do than self preservation. Nope sorry.......family safe then am next. Just the truth and i think if it did happen thats exactly what most would do. Might rattle down a quick bottle of whisky just incase i dont make it...i'm sure the bar would be a 'free' 1 by then.... I think I'd do the same to be totally honest. Family first and I have to look after th
