  1. The point Alex makes is very true though. While in the US violent crime is plummeting it is very much on the increase in the UK. Sure you're not likely to get shot over here but you are much more likely to get beaten to death, mugged, robbed or stabbed in the UK
  2. Wow Alex kicked Pier's ass ha ha ha!
  3. i never had one enquirey in all the time i adverised on there , if your not a "hooray henry" charging stupid moneys then dont waiste your time because i dont think they are interested in you and as for winning a three day shoot , i bet it has already gone to a relation I found a cracking rough shoot well priced and definitely not the hooray henry kind.

did you get sacked? no mate, just self employed, to claim dole money i have to sign off from self employment, a bit awkward when work starts up again as i'd have to go through the whole scenario of registering as self employed again, not sure how hmrc would take it. Just unbelievable isn't it! I'm self employed as well and you just have no safety net at all.
  5. yeh done it but it would be good to have as a sticky. People power and all that
  6. its all about the money with them! It was the same with BASC and the ban on magazines at WH Smiths. Can you believe it took them 6 or 7 days to actually do anything and only because they were getting pestered about it on that pigeonwatch forum by myself and a few others. Their excuse was they couldn't send mass emails to their member base lol
  7. You wonder what the countryside alliance are doing for their money. They've 100,000 members and a simple mail shot to all of them would have this hit 10,000 in no time. I actually sent them an email; when this e-gov petition thing was started asking them to get active and start petitions but it seems like they and BASC don't seem to do much. Nick
  8. Brill I got mine in 2012 as well, also I shot my first snipe the other day...that was like shooting at a bat it was so quick.

I think when we move we'll get rid of our arials and cable telly and opt out of our licence.

    Any chance of a sticky?
  11. You can also fire the starter pistol into a bag to mute the sound it gives off. Maybe combine it with something the dog likes, like hunting? You could fire it and then tell it to hunt so it makes the connection of bang = good. I have a sensitive/nervous dog myself and it can be hell on earth trying to get him over some of his problems...he's more scared of new environments or places where there are lots of people rather than bangs. Just be careful of making any fuss over the whole exercise, I find that with my dog he senses some thing isn't right when I make a fuss or try to get him to
  12. British army is way more powerful that it was during the Falklands war. We've got better air power, Apache gunships, drones and an army with a lot more combat experience. The only thing we don't have right now is an aircraft carrier but I don't think that's as much a big deal this time round.
  13. Sat in front of my computer working just like I was Christmas day
  14. Dropbox is a good one to use as well
  15. I'm paying 180 to 200 a month for gas and electricity. I work from home though which bumps it up a fair bit.
  16. Here's two that look ok depending on what you want. I prefer walked up rough etc and they tend to be cheaper as well. http://www.gunsonpegs.com/shooting-uk/north-east/west-yorkshire/highfield-shoot_338&eventId=16365 http://www.gunsonpegs.com/shooting-uk/north-east/north-yorkshire/pasture-farm_3847&eventId=15965
  17. I'd start off looking on http://www.gunsonpegs.com and do a search there. Also you can look at the go shooting section of BASC but to be honest it is pretty shyte...god knows why I pay them 70 quid a year Also look in the shooting opportunities of this site
