I saw an article along similar lines when the recession first kicked in. In summary it was saying that most people who say they're skint have a car or two, sky TV, a big plasma, laptops, a mobile per person etc. It's not that long ago when having a car meant you were doing quite well, and having sky meant you were well off. Makes you think!

I for one would have no problem with him getting knighted, he's had nothing given to him on a plate, he's where he is through hard work and dedication. Being so close to the Dunblane massacre and then having to leave home as a young teen to further his career, away from his family and friends etc.........I think people don't actually realise what the lad as done to get to this level in his chosen sport. fair point, I suppose when you look at the bigger picture he has a point. I must admit I usually am one to laugh at someone hitting the deck, but knowing how heavy that wheel would be and how fast it would have been going made me cringe big time when I saw it, could easily have killed him!

The ones that make out they can't lose weight make me laugh. I'm not exactly Mr Motivator but I don't claim to live on salads and mineral water either. I used to work with this woman who was as wide as she is tall, literally about 20+ stone of her. She always said it was her medication and she never ate anything other than salads and healthy food. that's the bit that I don't get....why aren't they subject to trespassing and breaking and entering laws??? they go onto a person land without permission, break into a shed and take someone elses property (i.e. a dog).....and then sell the dog? so the person who bought it is handling stolen goods???? so surely just because they've sold a dog that they've taken off you, it shouldn't mean you've lost that dog, whoever bought it has to hand it back. In the same way that if you bought a stolen car, it's tough shit, you've lost your money and the car, why isn't it the same with a dog??

I know the owner because he had one of my mates bitches and this is her pup, out really good stock, just don't understand see how it goes! Thanks anyway mate might be out of good stock, doesn't mean he hasn't disheartened or ruined her. What's the reason he got rid of her? I wouldn't give up on it though, just take it steady for a while and then when the season starts give her some easy runs etc. You said you were out today and she ran two to ground....might have run them hard but that's two more she hasn't caught, don't compound the problem....keep her away from rabbits in the day ti

that's the good thing about articles like this though, the CA are regularly highlighting stuff like this but it's only really the members that see it, which is fine but their antics needs to be more widely known IMO. It's no the CA members that are funding them, it's the general public that just assume they are legit. The more articles like this, the more their funds will dwindle and the quicker they'll disappear....hopefully!
