  1. Is she a veggie? mother in law that is?
  2. all that'd happen is you'd have a load of chavs with uninsured dogs, and us normal folk would be paying through the nose for it even though it's completely unnecessary if you're a responsible dog owner. Insurance companies fleece us enough as it is IMO. The only way an idea like this would be enforceable would be for the dog to have to wear a disc on it's collar, so it's visible, like a car's tax disc, but every system is open to abuse. (Mind you lots of owners don't even seem aware that an identifying disc on the dog's collar is required by law.) Again...and don't think I'm trying
  3. yes I can, but you're going on appearance alone..... you would want to allow police a free reign on who they think looks dodgy? you could be harrassed with your dog just because some copper doesn't like the look of you?

  5. nice one Simo, I've got bottles of cold water in there but didn't think to freeze them
  6. ....hard work keeping the stinkers comfortable! I'm putting mine out the run with a big bowl of water so they can stick their faces in it, and spraying them with water regularly (which they love!) but they're still struggling a bit. Proper boiling out there! I'm going to stick a washing up bowl full of water in I think so they can have a dip, and maybe put a few plastic bottles full of cold water in the hutch. Anyone else doing anything different to help them out in this heat?
  7. how?? even if they introduced yet more breed specific legislation, you get some proper nasty cross breeds that could do just as much damage. And how would you determine who's a loon and who isn't? Stories like this are a bit worrying IMO because it's just a matter of time before some simple politician pushes though some legislation without thinking about it properly and before you know it we have yet more pointless ridiculous restrictions forced on us that make it even less of a free country and do absolutely nothing to tackle the problem it's supposed to be tackling.
  8. utterly agree, couldnt of put it better myself, but when your brought up with people around you, wearing the best clothes, driving the best cars, buying houses, ect ect ect, to be anything below that makes us think were missing out, and get jelouse and depressed. but the fact is, we have running water, a roof over our heads and food, its 2013 and theres still some countries that dont have that, as theyr governments are corrupt, ect ,having to walk 25 miles a day just to get dirty water, our government is fecked i know, i myself cant change that, but atleast were alive
  9. if you tilt your head to the left and squint you can see jesus in that sting!
  10. How old are you Walesy? (this is where we find out he's a 26 year old mummys boy )
  11. Exactly.....horrible little things. I've said it before but I bet more people are bitten by these dogs than any other breed ever, it's just they don't get reported cos they're so puny. Just boot it over the fence when noone's looking pal
  12. Can you imagine how bad it would be to be surrounded by people with absolutely nothing to lose, all baying for your blood....and the only thing that's stopping them getting at you is a few prison guards who probably have kids and also hate your guts, and the only thing you've got to look forward to is death!.....that's worse than any death sentence IMO, I hope he lives for another 50 years, and I don't care if I do have to pay for it!
  13. well when my mates dog was killed it didn't even make the local news, and it was a very similar incident, just not a bull breed.
  14. It depends what sort of veggie your ma is pal, some veggies just don't agree with the conditions animals are kept in and the way they're slaughtered etc. When you go out and catch your food the animal has lived in its natural environment and is then killed quickly and humanely. I'm assuming you eat meat now? Well however you hunt, whether it be shooting, dogs, ferreting etc. you can guarantee the animal you're eating will have been treated far more humanely than the ones you buy from the shop, and you can also guarantee if won't have been pumped full of growth hormones etc. like most of the
  15. There's a similar 'toy' dog down my road, when you walk past it's going mental and sticking its head through the gate barking its irritating stupid little head off......if a bull terrier was in the garden doing the same the police would be called within minutes! Loads of those little dogs are nasty snappy horrible little things but because they're so small nobody does anything about them. My mates chihauhau is the nastiest dog I've ever seen.... it ended up being killed by an alsation. Dogs read other dogs body language, if a bull terrier is walking along and another dog is in full attac
  16. everyone's definition of both will be different It doesnt matter what you perceive to be a struggle or what you perceive to be comfortable....comfortable is better than struggling...how can it not be??? Why would anyone be happier struggling if all other aspects (family, health, etc) were the same?
  17. Money cant buy happiness no.....but if everything else is in place it can certainly make you a lot happier! Nobody can tell me they're just as happy struggling as they would be being proper comfortable..I just dont buy it.
  18. it's true....on a similar note you get people on big salaries who can't resist the temptation to get a big house and end up no better off than the rest of us....apart from owning a few more bricks obviously! My mates mortgate is £1300 a month! Admittedly his house is stunning, but he's still not happy and wants to sell up and get a bigger house. His mrs moans at him about it but the more he earns the bigger the house he wants, if he could learn to be happy with just a normal sized house he'd be minted but for some reason he's got this obsession with owning a massive house. It's very rar
  19. Usually it's because students are deluded and think they'll be earning fortunes once they have a degree!
  20. finance-wise, if I had to give any young person advice it'd be don't be temped by easy credit....don't get a credit card, overdraft, loan etc. under any circumstances, if you want something just wait til you have the money. Once you slip in the trap of getting a credit card or something on finance it's very hard to get straight again, no matter how much you promise yourself it's short term, the temptation will always be there. Skint isn't when you have only just got enough money for food and bills etc. Skint is when you're so far behind on finance and credit cards that you're permanentl
  21. if they were bought off here won't there be an ad still on the for sale section? if you got it off there just trawl back through the ads until you get to the date you saw them.
  22. go camping in Rhyl pal, 1 week there and you'll come away feeling like royalty
