  3. The one in manchester is in the middle of a town about 5 minutes from my house Who provides the sightings? Just joe public ringing in ......not very accurate
  4. Omamtra For dog work do you think the full framer is better I use a d300 and was thinking of giving the d700 a go ,old now but the d300 has been good to me

  10. most of the lurchers I have hunted with point in heavy cover so I doubt it will be a problem they point so they cam work out exactly where the quarry is and then strike
  11. all the sigmas I,ve had have been soft and slow get the Nikon 300mm f4 ,they are brilliant...if mine broke ,which I doubt it will <built like as tank> I would go out and get one tomorrow ,second hand they are about £500
  12. its not my dog , it was taken maybe 15 years ago.. it belonged to a friend of mine I am really interested in this cross,i love a dog that hunts but getting a pup at the right time has been hard and when I have been looking for a pup there was never any about from tested parents. maybe one day

  15. heres a couple of old pics ..half cross.....bit crap quality....this dog could hunt needed more speed,caught plenty out of the seat
  16. to be fair I have not seen many run ,I saw a half cross and as a hunter on open moorland it was awesome but lacked that burst of speed that puts game in the bag .. I have seen a couple of 3/4 bred dogs to a whippet/grey,they were real good at rabbit but had thrown to the running dog . I think the breed has a lot to offer and would suit my style mooching ,gamekeeping etc but would worry me with the speed....I,m not saying they cant run but sometimes you need that burst of speed that makes game make a mistake. I have never seen a pure bred dog in the field <would love to>... I am po
  17. I think these have great potential but will the half cross be fast enough,probaly not will 1/4 pointer give enough of the points that you want to breed in
