    all the sigmas I,ve had have been soft and slow get the Nikon 300mm f4 ,they are brilliant...if mine broke ,which I doubt it will <built like as tank> I would go out and get one tomorrow ,second hand they are about £500

    its not my dog , it was taken maybe 15 years ago.. it belonged to a friend of mine I am really interested in this cross,i love a dog that hunts but getting a pup at the right time has been hard and when I have been looking for a pup there was never any about from tested parents. maybe one day

    to be fair I have not seen many run ,I saw a half cross and as a hunter on open moorland it was awesome but lacked that burst of speed that puts game in the bag .. I have seen a couple of 3/4 bred dogs to a whippet/grey,they were real good at rabbit but had thrown to the running dog . I think the breed has a lot to offer and would suit my style mooching ,gamekeeping etc but would worry me with the speed....I,m not saying they cant run but sometimes you need that burst of speed that makes game make a mistake. I have never seen a pure bred dog in the field <would love to>... I am po

    I think these have great potential but will the half cross be fast enough,probaly not will 1/4 pointer give enough of the points that you want to breed in

    I can't understand why utd don't produce more young talent There youth programme is massive The school that my kids went to is the school utd use to educate there young stars that are brought from across the world to play in the youth squads.there is about 50 lads in the school at any one time and that's not counting the lads that travel in ,parents move close to the training ground.     Just looked into it a bit more ,looks like you won't be able to keep any bass next year until July and then limited to three

    Not sure of new legislation but from march this year you were only allowed to land three bass every day ....

    Use the three dummy's Left right and back Sit it up throw dummy over its head ,leave it a minute to settle and then use the go back command to fetch it Gradually build the distance ,then start doing it when you have planted the dummy It's all about getting the dog to trust you .......when you send it back there will always be a retrieve out there somewhere

    Most dogs wont stop dead when you are recalling then because you are contradicting a command... You have blown the recall and then the stop ,bit confusing ...just practise when she is quartering in front of you

    Run out and take her back to the spot you blew the whistle at......sit her down and blow the stop whistle ....repeat She knows what the whistle means but is trying it on

    don't be tempted to take her out hunting with other dogs because she will start pulling ahead and when it becomes a habit its hard to stop. look on you tube for training films ....I like Edward martin

    I was out with someone with the PLR-500 last night .I had a 170 with 14amp lithium so could compare them side by side theres hardly any difference apart from the 170 has a more yellow beam
