I can sympathise with that mate, there’s some pure f***ing scumbags out there. The name in the report I don’t recognise, it’s more a settled persons second name than a traveller name.......my guess is it’s more a case of trailer trash than traveller. I don’t know what Marshman thinks or if he recognises the name as a traveller name but I certainly don’t.

I have always thought Tollund Man was pretty amazing, you can even see the whiskers on his face. I love anything that connects us to our European history. I also visited this amazing place in Sicily called the catacombs.......it’s full of almost perfectly preserved dead people ! They are all over the show dressed in the same clothes they were brought in with on the day they died and it’s a massive cross section of people from ordinary every day workers to admirals & bishops. England is only about a 1000 years old, it’s an Anglo Saxon invention.......the others came into being as seperate nations further down the line with various invasions, wars, rebellions, acts of parliament etc etc but at the time of the druids we were all just Britains......seperate geographical tribes but all Britain’s The British Isles still includes Ireland in the world of geography. Germanys patron saint is I believe from Cornwall !

The bit to really wrap your head around when you see English, Scots, Welsh and Irish lads having the banter with each other is that actually in terms of Britain those 4 nations have only existed for a minuscule amount of time......1850 years ago we were all just Celtic Britain’s Gealic celts, Brittonic celts and Picts........ The actual establishment of seperate nations is much, much younger than that still........

I know you have been to Scotland but I don’t know if you have ever been to Northern Ireland mate, but I get a feeling a lad like you would feel very at home with that sense of pride they retain about their country and their culture, also (in Northern Ireland) that massive outward display of pride in being British.......I actually feel very at home as a British lad in those places and I think a bloke like you would as well.

England has some of the most beautiful villages and landscape in the world, it’s just either over populated or the life has been ripped out because of second homes. They don’t settle well here mate, When was the last time you saw a wog in wellies?.......they soon get uncomfortable in their Nike airs and flip flops walking about ankle deep in water and cow shit over here. The climate just don’t suit them.

I’ll tell you something for nothing mate, there ain’t no London, Birmingham’s or Bradford’s over here.......if you see an African in my town you genuinely do a double take. Rare as hens teeth and long may it stay that way.

Remarking on appearance has always been around......midget, ginger, one leg, bald, a wig, black, lazy eye.......you name it and someone will mention it in insult or jest. We don’t set up a crime unit or have a whole sport up in arms because someone shouts out “look at the state of that f***ing syrup” do we?........so why make a big deal about any of the others.

I hear you mate and I know you are right but I think we have to remember that a lot of these people will have underlying personality / mental health issues too......which is why they are homeless or just f****d up in the first place. I also don’t think you can qualify acts of kindness with conditions......because what you have then is a trade, not an act of kindness. I don’t pretend to know how people get to that point and I also ain’t green enough not to realise that some of them ain’t wasters or doing it for a living ( I know for certain there is one professional beggar around Char

Me and my old man used to watch the boxing without fail, he used to take me to the black tie events and down to York Hall........I have not watched boxing since the 90s ! Its total f***ing shit......the heavyweight division is the worst of the bunch. The lower weights still have a few lads who are fighters, the “off the estate” types who want to have a war if needs be but I wouldn’t give you tuppence for the HWs. A bit of the olympics or amateur stuff is as far as I go now and then only if it interests me.
