  1. Well, I’m the worlds worst c**t about almost everything, but I really have found Stoneys post interesting and sincere. It seems like the words of a bloke who has been through the mill and drink was a massive contributing factor......now he is clean of it and proud and rightfully so. He is also reflective and honest and that takes a bit of bollocks in my book so good on you son......keep moving in a forward direction
  2. As I have said before, I used to follow the boxing almost religiously when I was a kid and young man. Now days I haven’t watched a fight in years so it’s interesting to read blokes, especially blokes who know the game as more than just a spectator, talk about it now. So, just an observation from afar really but I reckon the likes of Fury and that turn out with McGregor and those couple of prats off YouTube has dragged boxing into the mud.......it’s seems a shadow of its former self or is it just that I haven’t been paying attention ?
  3. I’d say that would tell a person if they had a decent dog round them if they tipped into one of those f***ing things and it stayed the course.
  4. I here those Harry Potters get round a dog like a snake and can make a real mess of them
  5. I’d imagine the majority of people dependant on drink are fairly normal, every day people......look at the city of London. Boozers are packed every lunch time and every evening then a Lot of them are going home and having a couple of glasses of wine. That’s not social drinking, they need it to cope I reckon
  6. There’s been reports of pine marten round here too but I have only seen 1.
  7. I always wonder, what’s gets a person to that point? There was a bloke behind me at the check out in Supervalue t he other day. Absolutely stinking of stale piss, I mean you could tell he don’t wash himself or his clobber......small ready made dinner in a box and about 6 bottles of wine and whiskey. What sort of f***ing life is that?
  8. I really liked the unglamourised style of it.....thought it was excellent myself. Sort of harped back to Coppola having Mike Corleone sitting alone as an old man in that scene.
  9. See them all the time round my way but I have the dogs running loose all the time and so far have only suffered a couple of fox attacks
  10. That’s very sad to hear mate.
  11. I agree mate, even with the fags and I smoked like a chimney for 35 years. Fags are shit but the only thing I will ever say is that nobody ever went home and knocked f**k out the old woman or woke up in a strange place with a brass after too many Benson & Hedges ! Lol
  12. As I said, it’s so rare that I have a drink when I do the company, situation and atmosphere has to feel just right or I won’t even bother. Its never bothered me drinking soft drinks or tea or coffee when everyone else is getting battered but I know a lot of people can’t do it.
  13. Just watched a film last night written and directed by Jonah Hill called “Mid 90s”.......it was f***ing brilliant
  14. I packed up drinking when I was 24, now it’s limited to the very rare occasion if I feel like a beer with a meal or some special occasion when it feels right. I have never missed it at all, ever......one look at these sad c**ts propping up the same 2 ft of bar space that they did when we was young men is enough to put anyone off. Plus, I think as you get older your tolerance for pricks gets less and less, I don’t have much time for them sober and pissed it would be a disaster. As for class A, if you are still f***ing about with all that shit in your 40s then you are one sad f***
  15. The only way a politician like Sturgeon can survive is off the back of divisive nonsense.....like her predecessor Wee Prick it don’t really wash when push comes to shove.
  16. There’s not much else going for it from a business point of view mate, it would be a big deal if they lost that. Mind you, who’s paying the €13billion, ordinary people is who so the tax rate is being subsidised by them.
  17. There’s quiet a socialist political mentality in Ireland, I’m not sure they would like the massive deregulation that small countries need in order to be really successful. The investment that’s here at the moment is because of the corporation tax rate and the weather. It basically costs less to run the servers because of the temperate climate and they only pay 12.5% corp tax. Europe is going to come after that tax rate at some point in the future.

Looks like you lot are pushing to sign Haaland mate, good shout that. You will wind up with Rice as well, it’s just what we do.

Mate, it was obvious years back that when you accepted all seater stadiums then it was going to go that way. I stopped worrying about going down the Hammers when they made it all seater......it completely ruined my football day out, people talk about the atmosphere at the new ground being shit, to me it diminished when they put in the seats. It was f***ing terrible compared to standing with your pals and thousands of others. After that it was the odd game when I felt like it and obviously when my boy came along I had to take him and from a dads point of view it’s nice when you

There you go, football has changed massively. If you want the whole day out with your pals, 2 yards from the pitch, steak pie and a bovril and see a bit of gritty football then non league is the way to go......I go all the time when I’m over, I f***ing love it. If you want to see absolute top of the tree, top of the pay scale, expensive players in the best stadiums, 20yds from the pitch on an entertainment package day out then you go to a premier league game. That, as they say, is life......I watched Harry Redknapp in Life Stories the other night....he had a part time job at Tes

Because apparently we were poor and could not keep the great players we produced or attract/afford anything better than end of career or 1st division players and journeymen managers brought in to “try” and keep us out of trouble. It should have meant putting an end to those excuses. I never wanted to be a “big” club, I wanted to be a club that did itself justice and didn’t just take the piss out of itself all the time. Ill ask you a question mate, do you think our footballing history from academy to World Cup only warrants being treated like f**k all in favour of being able to w

Exactly that, and that’s why imho we need one of these young blokes to come in and look at our history, promote out of the youth ranks, play exciting passing football, have a bit of grit, take every cup and league game seriously and most importantly keep the players we bring on and build an attractive side that’s West Ham United from the academy to the first team.......that’s our history and that is how we retain it. Bringing Rafa Benitez or some shit ain’t going to do that imho mate. Win or loose, the most important thing is play the right way and with the right attitude.......make
