I’m not so sure mate, folks are funny over here. They don’t say much but they are willing to do plenty. Plus, there just isn’t the same attraction for them here although they are here in small numbers......best guess is it will come down to what the EU tell Ireland to do, they will do whatever they get told to do. Wether the people put up with it is an entirely different matter mate......I suspect they won’t.

I think the point is mate that ireland dont have a Bradford or a Birmingham or a Brixton, Tottenham, Stoke Newington, Peckham, Southall, Elephant & Castle. Nothing In ireland remotely comes close.

Not long enough mate because people are kind and they don’t realise what it brings with it. Theres a general feeing here that if you are friendly enough and try and fetch them to the Gaelic enough times that they will just seamlessly fit in......they don’t understand than when enough arrive they will just revert to type.

When I was still living in England, I’d got a bit older and went through a spell of trying to be philosophical about it which was a million miles from my views as a young man. To me it’s a simple argument, every country has some shit people, it’s enough of a job to deal with your own and it don’t make sense to increase the problem by dealing with every other c**ts as well. With your own, you may have a chance of improvement but with millions who are completely alien you have no chance. Thats basically a no brainer.

One thing I do notice, traumatic things have been Americanised ? Now we all have to fall over ourselves to show what hell and anguish we are going through......it’s like a competition. I don’t think people are desensitised at all, we are, as a race, known for not making a song and a dance about everything.....it’s just our nature. In terms of being British, it’s the ones weeping and wailing and making a scene about everything that are the odd ones out. I think there is a massive difference between being able to empathise with somebody and being a massive f***ing fanny........they are two completely different things imho
