I understand that stretch of sea that separates us may as well be a 10,000 miles in the mind to lots of people mate and maybe that has a lot to do with how things have played out but there’s no getting round the fact that if you take the flags away we are all the same people.....always have been. Mate, you know and I know that it’s not even on the same page.....it’s not even in the same library on the same planet. We took around 5000 away to an FA cup game at forest mate......what?, 5 or 6 years ago and he put out a side of kids that got murdered 5-0 and it could have been more in order to try and preserve players to just stay alive in the main league. Thats suns up our total ambition for a lot of years mate imho.......I don’t think that means I want us to be Manchester United and I don’t think it means the 5000 angry fans want to be either.

Exactly mate, you don’t have to have ideas above your station to have a bit of pride about yourself as a sporting establishment. And I remember Gnasher was as pissed off as anybody else when that fat c**t pulled that stunt in the cup at Forest the other year.......does thinking you should try and win a cup make you a dreamer with ideas above your station ? Mate, like all of us, I can only view football from my own perspective. If I only wanted to follow a “big” club I wouldn’t be a West Ham fan would I and I rather resent the accusation......what I am is a football lad and I like to think an honest one. A football team should be progressing or at least doing something entertaining at what ever level it plays at. At our old ground we were a club in the top flight of the best league in the world. They are simply using leverage to get the most for Scotland, Cant blame them for that. As for independence, a little trip across the sea to a country with the same size population and vehemently pro EU will show them the empty shops, derelict towns, brand new industrial estates that have never had a tenant and economically suicidal swathes of regulation, red tape and generally long winded way of doing things should be enough to see where being a small country in the EU gets you.

Well despite developing a deep loathing for them all over the last few years I have to hold my hands up and say I feel more positive about my country this morning than I have for a long, long time........there’s a little bit of me holding a hope that it may even become a place fit to live again now that all the insanity that is so nicely represented by Labour and Lib Dem’s has been so soundly rejected. I think you have to give the jocks some credit, I reckon they have been clever. I don’t think there is a massive groundswell in Scotland to leave the union but they have elected MPs to represent them. I think in another referendum they would still vote to stay.
