No, of course it shouldn’t mate, but it is…..we all know the score. Whether it should be ?, I genuinely have not thought about it but off the top of my head I’d rather watch women’s football, walking table tennis or whatever than Love Island. Again, off the top of my head and not a strong opinion, it’s better something at least half a touch patriotic than some “poor me” f***ing Gaza bloke telling us it’s not their fault.

In fairness to Farage, he said all along we should leave the ECHR as soon as we left the EU. I’ll also add that it implies we don’t have the means to control our own borders….we do, we just choose not to. But let’s face it, this isn’t a new thing, it’s a culmination of years…..started with Windrush, policy written by Nandy, utter betrayal by Blair…..none of this has happened in isolation, they have all been at it for eighty years.

Those that know, know mate…….everyone is polite enough not to mention it on the podcast. But, my lad said yesterday watching that final “this is tragic” and I replied with what is, imho, the go to response for all sport….i said “It is, but, they are playing in one more European final than you or me have ever played in” There it is…..

I don’t think we are seeing some kind of “movement” or “common shared value”……..I think we are seeing natural behaviour, I’ve said for years that if you push indigenous people too far there will be a reaction…..but unless it has something concrete to give it purpose and focus then it’s just another step on the road to chaos. Voting time will tell if people actually want to change their outcomes, so far the record isn’t great !

As I said before mate, certain things you can’t hide and the penalty’s told the whole story……you see the absolute lack of power they are able to generate out of their legs when they strike a ball. And there you have it, the difference between women and men physically !…….we all know it, it’s not news.

And that’s the crux of the matter, pushing them into a realm that’s not their own…..that’s not the same as the game imho. These comparisons are forced when you push some bird into giving her opinion on the champions league final…..she’s never played at that level nor will she, everyone knows it including her. I was talking to a coach who coaches a women’s team for a professional side over here. Now this is nothing to do with comparing the men’s and women’s game, I just found it interesting. He said that women players are very literal when you coach them, as in if you say “Stand in that position and do that job” that is exactly what they will do rather than make decisions and go off script….i think England displayed that opinion perfectly yesterday, you could see how rigidly they stuck to shape and task…..that is a major difference in the game between men and women, you won’t see a Gasgoin

Exactly that, I will watch the odd game if netball on the telly now and again because seeing the speed of pass & move I find interesting. I also think it’s way more impressive than basketball. But I don’t tune in week after week….if I see it, I may watch for an hour, that’s it.

One thing I will say is, that final yesterday was way more exciting, physical and technically demanding than any game of Gaelic football you will ever watch ! That’s why football is the biggest game in the world !

There’s plenty “gets pushed down our throat” if you choose to let it happen, you did the best thing for you and didn’t watch it, hence it wasn’t pushed down your throat. Technically, I seriously doubt that ! Watch Spains passing game ! lol……but that’s just semantics. There are Sunday teams that I’ve seen that would leather the England women’s team, but there are also Sunday teams of fat boozers that can’t string 3 passes together and have the touch of a rapist ! lol But you have to compare apples with apples, that’s why you have women’s & men’s sport. The mistake people make is being silly enough to compare women with men. The women are successful in their own realm, end of story. They play what has historically been an exclusively men’s game, but they don’t compete against men. Different things entirely. Winning your local Sunday league is nothing like winning the World Cup, but it still has value to the player and within its own sphere of operation.

The penalty’s were a decent insight into the difference between women and men, it’s absolutely stark when you see how little power women can generate out of their legs when striking the ball. Kelly struck the last peno brilliantly compared to the others, fair play to her and fair play to them all…..back to back major honours, can’t take that away.

Question…..let’s say for instance you want a bull blooded pup out of stuff that’s out leathering gear right, left and centre every night. Are you more likely to get it 15 years ago or tomorrow if you don’t happen to know about 3 lads who are still at that job ?

That’s why I always cringe when you hear or read the phrase “all the decent coppers…..”……I don’t think there f***ing are any anymore !
