Get the dog to a proper vet, yours is obviously a clown!........."Leave it in a cage" (any dressing at all?).........."Most Will amputate"??????>>.......what the f**k is that all about?? I had a dog break a leg before the ban, took her to Noel Fitzpatrick (this was at the end of that October)......he put her back together and she was running hares midway through the January, your vet obviously has very little experience of this type of thing.....GET ANOTHER VET! or just tell him you want to be referred right away to a specialist bone vet surgeon.

Sorry matey, you misunderstood me, I wasnt saying that one thing is superior to the other. I have absolutely no problem with taking hares on the lamp, if your out on a trip and it pops up in the beam then lets have a run is the way I look at it. What I am saying is, on some of the fields in my part of the country you would totally exaust a dog after 5 runs wether you give it law or lamplight or whatever......which imho means that the question means nothing. As I said, I could take you places where you could run 50 if you wanted to, but you couldnt because the dog would be long finished by n

No offence Miller but I have used both and the modern fishing bags piss all over the army type but they are too warm in the summer........mostly in summer all you need is a waterproof fleece cover with the bag underneath you, will keep you toasty and you wont sweat like a rapist!

What is meant by numbers?.......1, 5, 20? On some of my permission you will easily see 50 hares in a night......how many could a fully fit dog take on good size fields? The question means nothing, because they wont get the same law for a start under lamplight and theres only so many any dog could run in any case.

Lurchers and cats can live perfectly well together and do so all over the country but I would not trust a proper working terrier 100%

Just my very uneducated opinion, but you cant say a lurcher is no good until it has had at least a couple of seasons as a mature adult getting enough game put in front of it......you cant make your mind up that a dog is a lost cause in 5 minutes, it takes long, hard consideration about all the factors in the equation. What I will say is, once you have made your mind up then get on with it, dont prolong the agony because mentally you will have gone away from the dog and life is short. In this case, I would say this episode tells you nothing about the dog or its abilities......you just c

Couldnt stand dog or people agressive dogs around me but that said, some of the best dogs I have seen have that glint in their eye that means you dont "totally" trust them.
