    When ever theres no young about and the grounds suitable, the brambles have died back if ya working the ferrets, just use common sense i would say, but traditionaly any month with an r in it, all though down here in devon im sure it starts a lot later and finishes a lot earlier then up north but no set dates. But i am guessing you mean by season working rabbits with dogs.

    Insurance is the way forward with vet prices now adays! Wouldnt be with out it! I got the premium package with M&S and its £15-£16 a month well worth it! Actually checked my bank statments and it only £12 a month, price of 4 beers at the pub, i dont think anyone cannot afford to pay that and if they cant how can they afford to feed the thing?

    Nice one! Great feeling the first one! My pup recently had her first bunny, she just wanted to play with the bloody thing! but just a few bunnys down the line and the inital excitement has died down, took her out last wk with some very experianced dogs and she did text book retrieve live to hand! Sure yours will be doing in no time also! Bring on the dark and windy nights!

    Well done mate! and well done Bess! Its a great feeling aint it! my pup recently had her first rabbit on the lamp also, yours did well retrieving on the first one, mine just wanted to play with her first, got much better just a couple down the line tho. The first of many for bess im sure!

    Thanks for the advice! If i get the 100W bulb one, the CB2, can i in the future replace the 100W bulb with a 50W if i think its too bright? or do i have to stick to a 100W bulb? Cheers!

    Hello! I need a lamp for lamping with my lurcher. I fancy a Culite. I run small to medium size fields in Devon. What do most people use? the CB1 or CB2? 500k candle power or 1 million candle power? I have put this on this topic as it is for running a lurcher. Cheers!

    went out last week actually me and my mate lamping, walked the first field one little run but no joy, on to the next, young bullocks in there so missed that one out and straight on to the next, got to the gate and flicked the lamp on to have a look and theres about 6-8 young kids (aged 15-16?)sat in a circle about 100yds away, in the dark obviously doing a bit of underage drinking, so we flipped the lense of and they bricked it and all legged it, theres a youth camp near by so we guessed they were from there, prob thought we were the police or the people in charge from there. doing my fair sha

    I did this with my pup, as where i walk her there a lotsa rabbits and in the day she didnt stand much chance of catching but she tried when she could,(tried to hold back on this but couldnt allways) did it so she thought she caught them, boost her confidence, shes just about 1yr now and just started her on the lamp, 2 short trips and 2 rabbits both times! were both well chuffed! Maybe try lamping with her?

    I think most peoples views on this is its easier to start with just the 1, 2 pups the same age would only be interested in each other, they prob wouldnt pay any attention to you, unless you have the time to train them individually, but this is just my opinion.

    Nice! I tried those classes, bloody useless they were! lots of young dogs walking round on the leads just a wind up for them, and the teaching part was a complete joke!
