  1. the kits your keeping & her can go in the court when there old enough to hold there own, she may still mother them & the other ferrets for a while , it really does depend on the jill, there all different The other ferret in the court is really chilled out, i really cant see her causing any problems. i was more worried about mom getting over protective with her. but it is a very big court so easy for them to have there own space. is 4wks to early to move them in? the other ferret could do with the company and theres a lot of space for mom also. Maybe if i moved mom and the kit
  2. Hi stormrider, Where about in devon you been fishing? I live Exmouth/Dawlish (me and the Mrs have just split so was Exmouth now will be Dawlish for a bit). I used to do a bit of fishing, used to enjoy mackeral when they were about, lots of fun and you only need basic kit and dont need to be an expert. Are they about at the moment then? Seems like a good time to get out there and enjoy the things that have been a bit difficult for the last 5yrs. Any tip of any good places down my neck of the wood? Have to dig the old rod out. Some new line and a few feathers and lures, sounds a great idea!
  3. Thanks for letting me know its normal, not just phyco ferret disease. Women and hormones, not a good mix! Any idea when she can go in with the other? Will she attack her also?
  4. Cheers, Nice picture Kay, is that you??
  5. Hello, My ferret had kits must be about 3/4wks ago now. I wanted a new edition and so did a couple of mates. Anyway, since she has had them she has turned phyco. will simply dive in for the kill as soon as you open the hutch or handel her at all. Shes not just playing or doing it half heartedly, she has managed to get hold a couple of times and really bites as hard as she can and rags you as if her life depended on it. She is usually very happy and relaxed when i handel her. I realise she is only protecting the young. Before she had the kits she was fine to hold, didnt try to bite you at a
  6. Due to the nature of there original purpose. (They were bred for fighting but are too big and slow for this.) I really would not advice keeping them with other cockerals, i am sure this would cause lots of fighting, probably to the death. Cheers
  7. Hello, I have an Indian game cockeral for sale. he is blue aprox 12mths old has pedigree papers and has allready sired young. I got him off a lady that breeds them for showing but his legs were a bit on the long side for showing (this is why i got him) so he is ideal for breeding as the show standard short legs can make i difficult if not impossible for them to breed. He is not aggresive at all, my 3yr old son, cats and until recently dog all shared the same garden with him with no problems at all. He is the number 1 breed for crossing for the table, being very wide and meaty. I have had h
