Cheers Kiz, Will order the book then!! Its a hell of a lot cheaper than the BARF book but also has better rating than it, i suppose just because the BARF book is more expensive dont mean its better. Thanks for the links i like the one with the receipe section where it says on most take food/lungs/head/fish etc and hand it to your dog, lol! Cheers for that mate, does the book have much info about feeding pups? picking my 8wk old up in about a wk. Will start aproaching my local butchers then, if i can get enough regular meat might have a look in to getting my cats on the diet also. Neil

Hello, Im picking up a new pup soon and have been looking in to the BARF diet, Is this book any good and does it include enough information for feeding pups? Its a hell of a lot cheaper and actually has better reviews than the barf diet by Ian Billinghurst. Just wondering if any one had any views on this book?? Any help appretiated. Also can any one reccomend any good books on dog training? Getting collie/grey/whippet will be just used for rabbits but happy to get a good book on just the basics to start with then maybe one for hunting later. What ever is best. Cheers Neil

I have had several 6gallon kegs from my local dump, sorry, 'recycling centre' on several occasions, all propper ones, some expensive one if bought new, just need a good clean, im allways seeing them there. All plastic though, but a lot easier to keep sterile than wood. Flip top bottles are expenive, the best ones though, couldnt tell you the best place to buy new. Have you got or gonna make ya press? I am looking up plans to make a press as I like my DIY stuff. They don't look hard to make. All the best, JoeD Im sure if you have looked in to it before you will allready of

Its not important bud just my preferance, and every one has favorite cross/breed, weather its for looks or attitude or how good they work, there all equally valid points. My dogs gonna be firstly a well loved family pet, as thats what comes first to me, then a worker, so everyone needs to be happy, (even if that involves ) I do like pure whippets though. -
Planning to get insurance when i get my new pup, luckily got it for the 2 cats when we got them, the one has been hit by cars on 2 occasions (first time hit by 2 cars coming either way) fractured hip 1st time fractured skull 2nd, she should be bloody dead but fine every time, even vets said if she survives the night shell probably have brain damage but the next morning 'meow meow' wanted her breakfast, luckily that was a few years now, she seems to have learned. the other cat has now got a skin condition and o,c,d (lol) prob for the rest of her life, tablets every day and regular vet visits, we

Hello, Im looking about at the moment to get my first lurcher and obviously i want to be capable of being able to take the best of care for her as possible, i will be insuring her as i have found it to be a life saver in the past, i would prefer to treat minor wounds myself if it well in my capability, stapaling, like ya say i should be shown, would a vet frown on me if i asked them to show me? or would i be best to find some one locally to show me, also is there any good books for more minor injurys and health care for dogs? Cheers Neil sorry alex didnt mean to poach ya thread, hope it he

I got chickens and cats mate, Do the local cat actually terrorise ya chucks? In my experiance chickens are perfectly capable of taking care of them selfs with cats, cats might try it once but they will soon learn, unless there bantams? I do have an indian game cockeral now but the hens had no prob seeing off any cats before he turned up. I learnt the other day one of our neighbours had said to our other neighbour that were friends with they think our cats are underweight, our cats are perfect weight, one of them goes the vet about once a month (thank f**k for pet insurance!!!) for an on going

Cheers nailer [WHY BANNED???] a beddy whippet was 1 of a few x's i had on the top of my list. So still got a few options. I know i shouldnt go by marking but i think rough coated merles are amazing looking, and i have had collies before. Got to be my favorite markings. Ill keep looking, the right dog will turn up. And maybe a blonde beddy! Cheers nailer, enjoy ya pup atb Neil -

I dont know the reason you have been kicked off, and, no offence ment, for all i know you might deserve it. And i am sure the mods had there reasons, But i think asking for a reason for this is a very resonable request. Manners dont cost a thing even if you are chucking someone off.
