  1. Hi mate I've looked online but everywhere is sold out of the Jacob a60 do you know anywhere that's got them in stock.Cheers King. I had a look after I posted the [revious and cold find any either.
  2. Is that the one with the zoomable asperical lense? If so I couldnt tell you, I only have one with a zoomable aspherical lense and thats a small LED lenser and thats a much smaller torch so an unfair comparison, I have fixed lense asperical and that beats the Jacob for distance but far too small a spot to be of any use, I cant rember the name of it now? Its very impressive but not much use. I am however now tempted to order myself a zoomable apserical, its been a while since I had a new torch. The funny thing is Ive learned to take the lumens on torches with a pinch of salt, the Jacob is I thi
  3. The Jacob A60, takes 1 18650 battery, I have about 10 or so Cree LED torches ranging from £10 to £100, the Jacob is probably the cheapest and out throws all the other by far apart from the one with the aspherical lens but that dosent have a practical spot. The Jacob is small enough to fit in your pocket, take 1 18650, I always just carry a spare battery in my pocket, takes less than 30 secs to change, Look on some of the forums, nothing out throws them if you want a manageable size and not spend too much. You've just got to find somewhere that sells them! Usually about £10, I promise if you ge
  4. I use John Lewis, really good cover, and the dogs just run up a £600 vet bill so paid for its self already.
  5. Ive probably got a collection of about 8 or so LED torches Ive built up over the years after lots of research on each one, ranging from £10 to about £100 each in price, some will fit in your pocket some wont, this one http://www.airyear.com/jacob-a60-cree-q5-3mode-310lm-white-led-flashlight-with-strap-black-1-x-18650-p-181805.html?zenid=61cd78a618340ae4e86de9bd3a8e2421 Is probably the cheapest I bough, fits in your pocket and has a really impressive beam, really good throw, does have a bit of spill, which is up to you if thats good or not but the spot is brilliant, fits in a reasonable sized
  6. Thanks Dewclaw, I've heard good reviews of both, just wondering if either is better than the other? What part of Devon are you?
  7. Hello, just wondering if anyone has any experience of the two lamps in the title, and how they perform compared to each other, there is not a great deal of difference in price if you shop about. Will be used for lamping bunnies with the lurcher and whippet on small to medium sized fields.
  8. My pup Olive, about 6/7 months in these pictures And her breeding: http://thewhippetarchives.net/details.php?id=229368
  9. I paid £45 for a signed boxed ltd edition one a week or so ago, thought I go t a good deal.
  10. Hello, I don't have a clue about cameras but would like to get myself something reasonable priced but also reasonably effective, for landscapes close ups and one that can take a descent action shot, dogs running /hunting etc, any suggestions? Is this one any good? http://www.jessops.com/online.store/categories/products/nikon/d3200-digital-slr-camera-in-black-18-55mm-vr-ii-lens--84946/show.html What do I need to look for? Thanks for any help!
  11. No prob JG, have to see if its as good in the flesh as it looks on the video! I now have a selection of spotters! The funny thing is ill probably end up carrying more than if I just had my old light with the variable power! But i only want the LED for when just out and about walking to the pub and stuff.
  12. Hi Torchey, I didnt order it, I've a friend visiting Hong Kong and Ive asked them to have a look and see if they can pick it up a bit cheaper anywhere, seen a few advertised on the internet, few people advertising on the candlepower forum, you could spend hours looking for a trustworthy good priced supplier though!
  13. Ive had an led P7, good little torch, not powerful enough for lamping though, I also have had one of these for about a year http://dx.com/p/trustfire-x8-xm-lt60-5-mode-1000-lumen-memory-white-led-flashlight-with-batteries-set-2x18650-57749 Really nice torch, very well built, feels very solid and I like the belt clip, fine for lamping though there is too much spill for my liking, I recently have got one of these http://dx.com/p/fandyfire-stl-v6-cree-xm-lt6-2-mode-1000-lumen-white-led-flashlight-2x18650-3x16340-3x123a-91137 Tighter brighter beam than the previous, bit more throw nicer beam i
  14. Dont mind them following in to the hedge after, maybe not throw themselves tho! Might catch a few less but save money on vet bills
  15. Never an easy descision mate and my remark of just a dog sounds very flippant I suppose but true never the less. I would consider myself untimately resposible though if the dog ever did cause harm to anyone. But you know the dog better than me and its still young, but showing aggression at such a young age would worry me slightly, and there alway would be much more potential for further things happening in the future, if its done it once it a lot easier for it to do it again. But I hope I eat my words mate and the dog turns out a settled level dog. Can I ask if you just took it to a normal
  16. I have to agree with you on this one, Who ever has him make sure they have descent liability insurance, though doubt it would be valid/wont be able to get covered if he had a history of aggresion. Bloody irresponsible in my opinion, and you will only have yourself to blame if it bites some kid in the face, all dogs have the potential to bite, thats what every dog owner has to live with, you shouldnt live with its probably going to bite and does so on a regular basis! Its just a dog, do the right thing, have it put to sleep. Theres a limit to what chances you can give a dog, if its done it o
  17. I dont know a thing about whippets but what about Mike Brown? He still breeding and any good still? http://www.mikeswhippets.com/ Reckon id think about startingf there, though dont know what the waiting list is like if there is one.
  18. Try running away from him, make him think his been left behind, worked for me in the past
  19. I have found running in the opposite direction or hiding helps, make them panic a bit that your going off without them.
