I only get the tripe from the pet shop, its allready ready to go, you dont have to mess about with the stinky stuff i find iceland good for chicken portions, when i say good i actually mean cheap. the rest from different places.

A cow..... You can buy ready packed in half decent pet food shops, minced or chunks. probably not the cheapest but easy, wann ask for green tripe from butchers etc, un bleached. My neighbour thought it was a fish un till i told him, his been feeding his mutt for ages on it, funny looking bloody fish. Sorry for the sarcasm pencoed, cant help myself some times. If ya after a shed still have you been looking of "freecycle"? if theres a group near you, i have had loads of stuff off of it, including a shed, and it all free! Google it. Cheers Neil

Good rifle lamp advice please.

Hi eddie, Cheers for that, thought it was a bit, but good price, will keep looking. Is it also worth getting coloured filters for them? if you can? With the bipods are the fitting to your rifle universal? or do you get certain one to fit certain guns? Cheers again Neil It is still worth buying the lamp and reselling it for more.may even buy your other lamp, stay away from logun lamps as they are useless..red filters are usually the best for rabbits but amber works well too..as for bipods think your goint to struggle with an airsporter to fit one as the under cocking will be in the way.. -
Drumsticks aren't very good bones imho, as they are (1) weight bearing and (2) have a high bone:meat ratio. Being weight bearing isn't critically important for modern chicken, that said, as they're rarely more than a couple of months old at slaughter, so haven't got the dense hard bone old boiler hens have/had. Additionally drummers are rather small for a pup of that breeding. Things like wings, necks and drummers would be OK as a treat for a very small pup (Chihuahua etc) but not a larger working dog. The raw meaty bone should ideally be as big as, or bigger than, the pup's head. This encoura

Hello, I have a new pup, collie/whippet/grey of about 9/10 wks. been feeding her meaty bones fish tripe chicken etc for a few days now. The thing that worries me is when shes had chicken (drumsticks) duck neck she will chew it for ages and when she gets to the last bit, quite a big bit i think she will just swollow it whole, she would have had a good chew but still have quite a chunk of bone there still. she will chew it for ages before this but seems she dont have the power or paitence to finish it off completely. Is this ok? can they digest chunks of bone? she love it and this is idealy

Hello, I have got myself a new air rifle recently, 1st one since i was a kid. Its a bit basic but its a start, a mk6 Airsporter. I am after a lamp for it to do a bit of rabbit hunting once i get my eye in again. I have been offered a similar lamp to this http://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/proddetai...ghtforceRMSM140 The question i have is will this be a bit of an over kill, would like a smaller one but been offered a good price on it. Any opinions if this lamp will be suitable at all would be greatly appretiated. Or if anyone knows where i would be able to get a more suitable one. Al

theres another 1 in the snow above your far right circle, another in the top right quarter of you top left circle and another possible 1 with a real long nose right above the white horses head
-
the more i look the more possible faces i can see, is that a long nosed bloke just to the left of the rider?
-
Well i got 5 horses.... but i keep getting 13 faces... and no matter how i look at it i still get the same 13 faces! i think there might be 13 looking at it a bit more now

BARF vs raw meaty bones
driller killer replied to driller killer's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Like the idea of not eating cow shit, my pups just decided she loves the taste of chicken shite, found her the other day she had managed to squeeze her front half under the gate to the chicken run and was munching away while been watched by several less than impressed looking chooks.makes sence as well, they have got to be after something in the cow shite. I know what you mean pitindall, havent relly started my pups new diet yet, want her to settle in her new home first (first bit of chicken tonight though) but the thing about feeding whole fish, im sure its fine, but i suppose its years of b -
BARF vs raw meaty bones
driller killer replied to driller killer's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Thanks everyone for the replys, it was mostly about adding veg that i was not sure about, as the BARF diet includes (off the top of my head i think its 20%) raw minced veg, and the raw meaty bones diet includes no veg, apart from the occasional table scraps. I think thats pretty much the only differance skycat but apart from that pretty similiar, and i think ya right, you can easily get hung up on getting it too balanced, we survive quite well on what we eat. Cheers everyone, will start my new pup on it soon, just gonna let her settle in a bit first. Neil -
Hello, I have a new pup and have been doing a bit of research in to raw meat and bone diets, have read a BARF book and a raw meaty bone book, the BARF diet consists of a certain % of raw blended veg but the raw meaty bone diet only really includes occasional table scraps. Any opinions on feeding raw veg??? or not???? Also does any one have any negative stories/opinions on these diets, its easier to find positive feed back as aposed to negative and would like to hear both sides of the story. Many thanks Neil

Hey Bill, Im not far away at all, Im in Lympstone, just by the saddlers. Have you got any permmisions yet? I have a few around here, ya more than welcome to come along if ya want? I mostly do ferreting but have just got an air rifle, basic one, will need a bit of practice, a bit rusty. My nearest permmision has a LOT of bunnies, bit too many nettles at the mo for ferreting but there happy for me to shoot there, air rifle any way. What kinda shooting/guns do you do? Cheers Neil
