  1. But that's the point my Benlli has NEVER had a problem recycling let alone a couple of times on a 40 bird clay shoot. That to me is unacceptable and why they are cheap shite. If you can live with it then all well and good but I wouldn't.
  2. Or it could be when I spend over £400-500 on a shot gun and I pull the trigger I expect it to go bang and recycle the next cartridge every time, unlike the hatstands where it's a bonus if it does. Look at the post before last Deerhunter25. You are right, I confess I am a miffed Benelli shooter and I have to admit I'm very disappointed with it, as it gives me nothing to bitch about, it always works and will shoot and recycle any load I put in it up to 3 1/2" magnum. I also imagine the USA armed forces and police are also extremely miffed with theirs
  3. There used to be a club at Birdwell not sure if it's still going though, I'm not aware of any other ranges in South Yorkshire, theres a really good indoor range at Carlton Moor Notts which a bit of a drive but excellent set up (google it) or the final suggestion would be Mirfield in West Yorkshire which has an outdoor range. 4. Standards sure have dropped on THL
  5. I think lead is also banned on the foreshore in Ireland so of that is the case you will need to use a non toxic type cartridge. Steel has proofed to be a cheap alternative but not all guns are proofed for steel so check the side of the barrel that you can use steel, I have had some success with steel but don't find it patterns too well in my shotgun compared with TM. Also where possible I will use 3" length cartridges for geese if you gun is able to chamber 3". My personal favourite is tungsten matrix I find it to be a hard hitting fast load as near to lead as possible but it's not cheap how
  6. I don't understand why anyone uses face book
  7. More evidence as if we needed it a vote for Labour is a vote against field sports
  8. This chap knows a thing or two about knife sharpening.
  9. 6.5 x55 all the way. Low recoil VERY accurate and can load up to 160gr if required. I have a Tikka T3 in 6.5 and it's a great rifle. Have a read.. http://www.chuckhawks.com/6-5x55.htm
  10. Im no expert but to me that was incredible. How they can withstand that amount of punishment is beyond me. Wish boxing heavy weights were as exciting now as they were then.
  11. That's just it mate according to some grassing is grassing no matter what. I've still not had a reply to my stolen dog question
  12. OK I've seen this said many times before and several people have "liked this", so I understand, grassing is grassing and is unforgiveable not matter what. So if somone stole one of your dogs and I saw who did it I shouldn't tell you as that's grassing...right? If saw somone nicking a packet of bacon I wouldn't even raise an eyebrow but to me there are limits, for example if I saw some scroat punch and mug an old lady and run off before anyone could catch him you can bet the Police would be getting a description from me. If that's wrong we'll f*ck it I don't want to be right.
  13. Sobering thought! True enough though, I thought Drummer Rigby's murder would have changed things somewhat. It did the f*ckers got more cocky as this country ain't got the balls to touch em, because as soon as anything happens we have our Islamic arse kissing politicians saying "it's only a fee bad apples muslims are a peaceful people"
  14. Stupid cow Her Majesty's Pleasure beckons me thinks...wondering she will be happy sharing with a big fat bean flicker in monkey boots
  15. Tragic..... That's why we must always check, check and check again to make sure the rifle is unloaded when we are not shooting. It was also drilled into me NEVER point a gun at someone even if it is unloaded.
  16. Its Shooting Hares that i could never support. Never shot one mate, I dont shoot hare but thats just me, If others choose to do so thats up to them and I have no problems with that I just never have and cant ever see me doing so... ATB
  17. But it will go to a vote. It's a cross party alliance, meaning all party's are interested in doing something about it, which is a good thing. Malt, good point and there's something in that for sure, but at least it's a positive step. Badger cull?...hounds hunting again? Brian May will be having sleepless nights Sorry I meant public vote, the country isnt ready for it and if put to joe pubic it will only go one way...
  18. The silly bugger who left cartridges at the side of the road that were handed in by a member of the public he has now had the calibre permitted for shooting badgers removed off his licence. oops...
  19. Small measures should be welcomed if they can get this through without having to go to a vote then all well and good. Slowly slowly catchy monkey Max I understand your frustration but to criticise another mans hunting isnt constructive. I can assure you my gun doesnt wound charlie when I hit it
  20. No I've got it... The. Captain should. Have been played by Morgan Freeman and the Somalian pirates should have been played by Sean Bean, Danny Dyer and Vinny Jones
