The good thing about wildfowling is its a fairly inexpensive form of shooting, I may stand corrected but I understood that shooting the foreshore in many locations was free. If you are a novice I suggest you contact a wildfowling club and learn the ropes through them, although a great sport it can be dangerous going on the foreshore if you don't know what you are doing. I have put a link below, there are three active clubs listed in Scotland. http://www.basc.org.uk/en/departments/wildfowling/wildfowling-clubs-and-links.cfm Let us know how you get on ATB

My lad marched with the scouts and me and my 6 year old daughter went ot the remberance memorial in the local village, another good turn out. I have been to the same service every year for 15 years and I must say the numbers of attendees increases each year. God Bless each and every one of the fallen.

The reserve chute is the one attached to his chest, it looked like his static line (the thing attached to the plane which makes his main chute deploy) somehow got tangled around it and pulled it off his body. This is what is known as a hung up parachutist. The procedure is for the rest of the stick to jump. Then a HUPRA is used. Basically a big parachute is attached to his static line, and then the cable inside thelane is cut, so he floats down on the big parachute, attached by his static line. http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=youtube&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari#hl

Its not really clear that they did cut him off you just hear a crack as the lead seperates. Either way he wasnt in a good place, I cetainly wouldnt want to be him if they had to land with him still attached. I thought they always had a secondary chute?

The "V" Bombers, Vulcan Victor and the lesser known Valiant our main force to deliver the A bomb from the 60's. A master class in British Engineering The Vulcan isnt being grounded for the engines its the airframe it needs to have a complete overhaul to its wing structure to gain its C of A and they reckon the it would cost is just not achievable. This is what really pisses me off we have enough money to fund every country around the world in terms of foreign aid yet the govt cant raise the money required to keep the Vukcan flying. They were flying an English Electric Lightining until

Hi Flipper I have an old laptop i used to use for work but the screen started to fail so i got a replacement, I used it for ISO Hunt but I can no longer get onto the internet, not use ef this is due to a virus? It can see my wireless router and I have dropped the connection to the router and re-connected and all is fine with theconnection but I just can get onto the web. If I type a web address in the browser it just cycles for ages then tells me there is a network fault. I can however in the command prompt ping the web such as the BBC or Google. I'm no fan but I have to admit Cameron has been fighting with one hand tied behind his back, people seem to forget its not a Conservative govt it's a coalition govt. Cameron of course wants to repeal the hunting ban but no way would he get the majority votes with the Lib Dem limp wristed in toe. It will be interesting to see what would happen with a majority conservative govt in power As for Labour they are like the naughty teenage son, conservatives will get us out of the shite Labour will promise the voter loads of cash benifits, appease the unions and win a victory then spend the n

Agree if he OP wants a semi its his choice however for his first gun he would have a much wider choice with a O/U, Not many people stick with their first gun and usually choose to upgrade to something that greater suits their style of shooting so at 17 and his first shotgun I don't believe the make or type is key, I would just want the lad not to waste his hard earned cash by buying a Hatstand. There is one point to address and this does not affect everyone but rightly or wrongly most game shoots would not permit the use of a semi auto. I use my Benelli SBE for wildfowling and pigeon shootin

How are others doing have this years young come through or have you noticed less than usual? Not so long ago I was struggling to give them away there were that many, now I'm lucky to get one...just to add its certainly not through over hunting and me and my mate are the only ones with permission.

Went out for walk round with the rim fire yesterday on one of my permissions and didn't see a single rabbit. The place used to be absolutely moving with rabbits, a couple of hours walk round and you could easily do 10-15 bunnies without really trying. This spring there were plenty of little drummers running around so thought we would have a bumper year but it really has been dire. I can't even blame it on mixi as there has been very little evidence of it. Now winters on its way I feel numbers will struggle Very strange times indeed

DO NOT BY A HATSAN.... Save your money and buy a second hand gun of reputable make. Just my opinion but have you a need for a semi auto? You could get yourself a nice Lanber or Laurona as a starting gun and get some lead in the air, that would be my route for what it's worth.
