  1. Unfortunately if you owe tax the inland revenue will want this back. If your employed you should receive a tax code notice at the start of the year telling you what tax you will be paying. It's the employees responsibility to ensure the correct level of tax is being paid,. Out of all govt departments the tax office are the most aggressive I have dealt with. They will probably just amend your tax code to reclaim it ove the next year. As suggested the only way to be sure is phone your local tax office. Good luck.
  2. It couldn't have been drawn better for me with a winnable game and top teams playing each other, yes pal meeting United would be great be even better if we knocked them out in the semis again. 150/1 Wednesday !!.....Gotta be worth a cheeky little tenner aint it ? Would have been nice to see one of the big clubs at Hilsborough but this gives us a fair chance of progression. That would be a dream, beating Charlton, then facing Sheff Utd and a couple of games to the final! Oh what dreams are made of. Although he couldn't play in the cup we suffered a big blow with Conner Wickham being
  3. It's all about technique, if you have the right technique he would easily be defeated as the video below suggests..

Statment WHEN some thing is broke you try and fix it not destroy it and throw it on the scrapheap As she did. I lived and grew up threw those times too mate, a lad who has worked for me for years was one of the poor f*****g soldiers that got the job of clearing the rubbish after it had been rotting in the street for 6 weeks......told me they used to have to burn their coveralls every day when they got b

  7. She told the Argies to Fcuk off though and showed them Britain still had some bite. Honestly if the Falklands would have happened Under Blair we would have given them up and then given Argentina £500m a year compensation to apologise for causing an issue in the first place. Like her or loath her she had balls...!
  8. When I was about 20 me and a group of mates were meeting at the local boozer for a night out. Tomo one of the lads had just bought a £250.00 clapped out Vauxhall Chevette and decided to drive it up to the local to show it off to us with the intention of leaving it in the car park to be picked up Sunday morning when we played football for the local pub team. Anyway off up town we go Tomo's going on and on about how great his new set of wheels were and how he was going to be able to pull more birds now he's got a set of wheels, so we do the full pub crawl, night club and kebab, Tomo pulled

  11. Some of the strongest people I've known have been religious, seen some horrific things happen to them and they seem to be able to hold it all together. Strength isn't always in a physical sense. I think you can judge a persons weakness by their faith just as much as you could judge a persons weakness by their lack of it. The old saying you can't judge a book by its cover springs to mind. I've said before if people want to think less of me for my beliefs then thats up to them ive big shoulders it's their choice,
  12. Yes and I also remind them that Peter was a fisherman. "And he said to them follow me and I will make you fishers of men" Foxdropper have your opinion by all means but to think I'm weak because I have faith is seriously a big mistake.
  13. If all this has done is made few people who previously shunned Christianity just at least think "maybe?" or even made them start on their own path to finding out what they believe then it has been worth it. One thing we do all have in common is hunting! Again that's a question "ahh....you can't be a Christian cause you kill animals" and there my friends starts another discussion
  14. Never! Progress never stops, we learn a bit more every year. Questions to which today we say "we don't know", tomorrow we say "we now know". Keep pushing the limits of human knowledge with reason and logic. Beyond todays limits there's the unreasonable and unexplainable 'God'............. untill we extend that limit a bit further and replace the unreasonable with reason.... ok maybe i phrased that wrong.......at what stage do you say " no more progress is being made "......i get back to what i said about the 2 leading astro physicists who basically said we are now back to square one.....

  16. here you go Wilf, I just done a bit of googling and came up with this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Price_equation Thanks just had a read and if I understand it correctly it speaks of one person sacrificing themselves so that the rest of the group flourish and become stronger. Wilfs question relates if I am correct to a stranger sacrificing his life which cant be for the good of the group as to them they are strangers. What is ironic is weve gone a full circle as I think the origins of this thread started about a young 14 year old lad sacrificing himself by tackling a suicide bomber.
  17. Great question mate, never considered that myself.
  18. Genetics? You're also genetically similar to Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Chimps, Gorillas, Fruit flies, bananas, etc.. Can't see wtf genetics has got to with your beliefs.. Totally agree again it's almost as though the Pagen faith is a faith to denounce other faiths because it is the religion of our cave dwelling ancestors. I'm still confused why the Pagen belief/religion thinks it outrageous that Christianity exists when it itsself is based on several gods and in some instances in your own words these are symbolic. Do you not see my point re my original question getting an ans
  19. I love bacon, I like it nice and thick in crusty bread so it's almost boardering on being a slice of gammon. Plenty of mushrooms and ketchup Yummmmmm
  20. Who's Steve Mitchell Socks? Yeah it did sound a bit of a daft question It's just I understood Andy McNab to have a different name that's all, is it Steve Mitchell for definite? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_McNab Never even thought to look on Wikipedia......I met a guy once a couple of years ago and we were talking and he said he knew him, had dealt with him not in the armed forces but something to do with his books, anyway he said his real name was Andy Travis or something like that, I remember thinking at the time oh so he only changed his surname. Oh well you learn something new e
  21. Hail Woden Yeah cause paganism is much easier to accept with witches and wise men with special healing powers dancing round a set of stones bollock naked worshiping mother nature and other green men. "hail Hogwarts" I dont think you understand much about the paganism our ancestors followed. . Perhaps not but that's probably to do with every pagen I have ever met seems to be an expert in why my religious beliefs are riduculas but fail to tell me EXACTLY what the Pagen belief is. When i ask "so tell me what you believe?" in It all gets met with a big smoke screen of god or gods, patriarchh
