Adnams make some nice beers. broadside and ghostship on draught , if kept right are lovely. 'If' kept right...Ghostship in particular can vary pub to pub...Broadside is 6% out the bottle and has a real bite to it but only 4.something out the cask and loses something from the taste...you tried them 8 pint casks Adnams do Ant...? ye i had a ghostship mini cask. was nice. ill tell you the truth im not a real fan of bottled beers, robinsons old tom is the exception. i think its a cracking beer. Prefer a proper pint myself...but you gotta have something nice for in front of the tel

how can a woman who votes to remain be best for us getting out of Europe? It will be a complete stitch up...a total watered down compromise with Europe...shes an unelected puppet...what we are getting will be an illusion of democracy.

Think it was the splash of dalmatian blood Hinks put in that brings the gameness -
Cheers for the heads up Mick...love this kinda stuff...its on again tonight so have set to record it...in regards to the way Johnson was treated...to quote the great Jem Mace...it was "other times other manners"...Johnson would have to be another candidate for the title of 'Greatest'...Bob Fitzsimmonds too...names now being lost to time...along with the previously mentioned Mr Mace the 'Father of Modern boxing'..who played a major part in forging the sport as it is today.

Murray drew with Sturm in Germany...got robbed in Argentina and lost in Abraham's backyard to a close split descision...not so much mediocre...more like bad luck... certainly no shame in losing to Golovkin...as time will tell
-
Canelo didnt want to know and niether did Khan...Brooks up for it and Glovkins happy to get it on...to be honest i can only see one outcome...but Brook has nothing to lose and a ton of money to make...if...and its a big if...Kell pulls it off it would be one of the biggest upsets in a British ring...them Eubanks are looking pretty f***ing stupid right now eh?...Jnr should make his old man take a backseat and get himself a new trainer while hes about it imo

You can say the same about Marciano-v-Wallcot about Ali-v-Frazier...Frazier was in his prime when he beat Ali...Ali beat him at the end of his career...Frazier only really fought 4 times after the first loss to Ali...retired 2yrs later...if an in his prime Frazier who was a similar size and fought in a similar style to Marciano could beat Ali...whats to say an in his prime Marciano wouldnt...but obviously its not possible for anyone one to say for sure. Ali never followed the Dempsey code of being heavyweight champion of the world,as so faithfully adhered to by Louis and Marciano...instead

Pretty sure thats the new advert from the East Anglian tourist boards 'Have a holiday in Norfolk campaign'

I'm not kidding you max...if you got a Brewdog by you get yourself in there for a pint...best on tap...you will not be disappointed
-
You can make most bitters taste like Doombar by adding about 13 spoon fulls of sugar
-
Brew Dogs make VERY good beer Brewdog have got better and better in my opinion...got one of their bars here now...can not get enough of their Jet Black Heart stout...never thought i'd say it but they have made a better stout than Guinness
-
Jerry Quarry's first round stoppage of Shavers also worth a watch...Don King promoted Shavers and worked his corner...King was so pissed off when Shavers lost he left him stranded at the garden and after exspenses never paid him a penny...Quarry said 'Memphis' Al Jones was a harder puncher than Shavers
-
Shavers may of punched hard...but he got out punched and stopped by Jerry Quarry
-
Thats true darbo...but in regards to Ali, Marciano wernt that much smaller than Frazier..Ali, Louis and Marciano all beat the best of their era...you really cant ask anymore than that can you...i dont think its beyond the realms of reason to say he would of held his own with Ali and possibly beat him...as i said who knows...or as Angelo Dundee said "you dont try to say, well so and so could of beat so and so. that's bullshit"
-
Good post dogfox...100% agree in regards to Marciano...the best opinion on the subject is Angelo Dundee's...obviously Ali's trainer but also learned under Marciano's trainer Charley Goldman...Dundee talked alot about how Marciano was wrongly written off as crude and clumsy and how his defensive skills where under-rated...Rocky also had phenomenal punch resistance and stamina and as you said had two fisted power that was second to none he was also an obsessive fitness and training fanatic...the young Clay was a big fan of Ray Robinson...as he would of been in the position to watch up close both

Lets go champ!...thats what

As far as Greatest Heavyweight of all time goes i'd give Dempsey, Louis, Marciano and Ali all pretty much equal billing...its just that Ali had the better media image...my old man is next year and i grew up watching boxing with him in the 1970's...for his generation Louis was the Greatest...my old man couldnt stand Ali...just wanted someone to shut him up (much like many do Fury these days)...he would say that if Ali could of fought Marciano and laid up on the ropes the way he did with foreman...he would of been knocked out...i guess the old boys influenced me in a way...but the muck raking a

Think you might have 2 out of 3 right there rusty...or someone has one massive homosexual crush!

Your not wrong flipbull...what Haye needs to do is fight someone relevant...instead of turning the sport into some sort of circus freakshow...dont know if Briggs had some sort of breakdown in the 4yrs he was out after the beating he took from Vitali or what?...Haye maybe small by todays standards...but he's certainly benched himself an impressive set of tits!...size has never been Hayes problem...just look at the giant he took the title off...if he gets his mind right i think he could cause a lot of Heavyweights out there problems
-
A stones a lot of weight for an athlete to put on in 24hrs...its not like its an extra stone in muscle...would be an advantage in clinches the extra weight baring down...but that sort of weight gained that quicky is going to effect a fighters stamina
-
The brain sits in a bag of fluid to protect it...the more dehydrated the more chance of brain injury...leave things as they are...both fighters are at liberty to put weight on...its not like they will put any muscle on within24hrs...cant really see how carrying an extra stone in weight would really be much help to a light welter over a 12round match
