  1. Jon out of interest in your captive birds were the colours just duller than byrons example .. or totally different colours
  2. Probably best to get it cleaned at a camera shop if you're not confident about doing it yourself. Most places charge around 25 - 35 quid. If you do decide to tackle the job yourself make sure the battery is fully charged (you really don't want the mirror coming down when you're poking about in there!!!! ) and start with one of these - rocket blower don't use the cheapie little puffer brushes because they can put more hairs and dust on the sensor than when you started! Hold the camera facing downwards and blast a bit of air over the sensor, being very careful not to actually touch it wit
  3. I have no idea if this jill will bail out again but if she does you have a problem .. the first you will know about it is when you hear constant crying which isnt a good sign i only hope she isnt pregnant .. its not impossible for an entire male to simply bring the jill out of season which in a way will be a blessing How long has it been since the swelling went down ? this will give you a rough idea of when she will birth if she is pregnant........ but finding a jill with a fairly new litter isnt the solution .. that may well be ok on paper but you have to bare in mind she will a
  4. Getting better Kay The dirt on the sensor is unlikely to affect the focusing system. The only real problem it causes is fuzzy blots on your pics when you use apertures smaller than f8. The dust spots show up on blue skies worst of all. In this pic the dog is running away and it looks as if the camera couldn't keep up as it's focused on the grass in the foreground. Remember it's not just the camera, the lens also has a bearing on focus speed. You'll have more success if you're sideways on to the dog and following the movement with the camera. AF systems need good light and a bit of c

  8. I really love that photo Byron ..well done its excellent
  9. What the hell is wrong with people ????? you allow a jill to get pregnant then find out she has previously neglected a litter or litters ......... talk about irresponsible This is why the rescues are full to the rafters because of people who dont know what the hell there doing I rarely sound off on here at folks but when i read dross like this i shake my head in disbelief .. so the solution is to find another jill with a litter or breed one just in case ... total madness & disregard for the animals being used :(
  10. I had another go at a pic of the dog running .. its a little bit better than the other day .. the other thing is i need the sensor cleaning on this camera .. can that effect how it focuses because i have tried to focus on a tin in the kitchen with no obstructions & its taken a while to get the focus could this be down to it needing cleaning
  11. Sorry i hadn't seen this ... i dont think its exclusive to shows .. its anywhere theres likely to be a gathering .. all people can do is just be mindfull in places where there has been confirmed cases Ive just read up on distemper surely theres a chance they will get if you take them out rabbiting? Ive read theres a vaccine is the vaccine worth it? Because ive also read it can cause anaphylactic shock. The only way to confirm causes of death in cases like this is to pm the ferret... i have no idea how many ferrets could have got distemper from being out doing there job & it

The speed needs to be at least 1/500 for running greyhounds, they're a bit faster than my collies thanks for that i will try bo
