Justin that was a very good read ..... i have been on the bones of my arse more than once so i identify with why you & the wife contacted these people .... but i think the CAB would be able to offer you some good advice on budgeting etc Its good that your bible knowledge came in handy .....didnt you find it a bit patronising when the incorrect stuff was being quoted ... i would have done & reacted exactly the same

I love it .. except the focusing its a total pig to get it right .. but i have nothing better to do with my days so i will crack on & get better hopefully the reviews all said as it is plastic its flimsey .. but i dont think it is .. i was expecting it to drop apart after 10 mins

The pie was a coop one & very nice it was too i am unsure what setting to use with this lens to be honest .. i tried all of them but find on this 20d body on manual & tv it isnt beeping when the focus is in the centre .. so i think to really test myself i will stick to manual so i am having to work at it to get it right .. its not like i have anyone waiting for a photo so i can take my time & see what i come up with

With a bit of luck i will be able to take some pics from my mothers garden tomorrow to get to grips with the focus .. it will be a good learning curve if nothing else

Its the 1.8 Alan ..... i will just mess about with it i cant be bothered getting a ruler out it will keep me out of trouble for a few weeks

I brought a new lens today its a canon 50mm one .. it will take some getting used to to as its fixed .not had chance to try it out side as it didnt come till the after noon so i took a few pics indoors with it & i think it will be quite good when i have mastered it

My dogs teeth arnt to bad as i feed raw chicken as it is ... I did find before they were on raw chicken wings there teeth were mankey & there breath was rank .......
