At last the cygnets are here they laid 6 eggs & 6 hatched they all look healthy & must have hatched late yesterday or early morning ..so i am keeping a photo diary of there progress till the cob sees them off Also the 3 goslings are doing well i did sit & watch a crow/rook dive bom them in the water .. the geese were going crazy but the little chap wasnt on the menu today 3 of the 6

Go with your gut reaction .. if by tomorrow morning it looks like she could still have some to pass i would take her to the vets because there could be a dead on inside her which is exactly what happened to a jill of mine a couple of yrs ago & she wouldnt have passed it without the vets help

yeah shot free hand i guess their not toooo bad.... i've just learned another technique to better the images with this lens, So we'll see what happens... my next purchase will be a 50mm F1.8 prime... As i can seriously see me getting good shots with it... Time is my only issue as i have Too many hobbies..... I have taken some butterflys with that lens today & as it was so bright out the qualitys not half bad .. a great deal easier to focus out doors as well with it I love bees & other insects they make great subjects up close.. lovely shot

I love Blackbirds & sparrows i know there not as pretty as some of the garden birds but i like them

i had a couple of walks today & used my point & shoot camera for the flys & my canon one for the bee & blackbird ...... being so bright made it a lot easier

My Son & I had a lovely walk at teatime over the fields & i took a few photos of the dog having a good run.. first time i have known her run in an oval ...one of the rare occasions i have seen her in full flight ..if only my camera skills were better what a truly magical sight ...just a few of the better pics most of them were out of focus

having him done now wont be any use to you this year .. he needs a few months before he will be firing blanks & then its not a guaranteed success even if you leave plenty of time before using him.... you may well find yourself with 4 litters

its sometimes nice to call in a pub if your out for the day & have a friendly dog to fuss over .. breaks the ice a bit especially if its a pub full of locals :laugh: they tend to stare at you & usually make you feel uncomfortable

I am going to sit up there all day tomorrow & just watch them i think .. nice & quiet in the week so i can just loose myself for a few hours .. should be nice

Just a few photos of the dog .. there a bit better than the last lot .. well only slightly ....and a few of the goslings this morning

All looks as its going to plan.. nice to see the pup interacting with the ferrets .. good practice i managed it wit a terrier & a lurcher pup many yrs ago... i doubt these greyhounds will ever be trustworthy though

Cheers Kay, yes they are nice at that age..they were here last year too, and got really tame, but these ones you just cant get near to at the minute.. i wont get near these unless i swim .. looking forward to taking some photos of them as they grow & the cygnets once they hatch .. cant wait
