Its perfectly normal behaviour.. if the jill on the receiving end isn't being allowed to eat put the food in the bedding box as that's where the dominant jill will drag her to .. & watch them for the next few days & if you feel the other jills getting thinner or generally depressed seperate them
  5. Theres been quite a few people get there ferrets jabbed after the show at shugborough where it was also confirmed several dogs were treated for distemper in stafford

  9. I am having problem with this camera the sensor needs cleaning properly so i had to faff with the in your face toad pic & crop out the marks ..... i will have to take it up jessops or somewhere

I havent seen him since that Sunday i was over there with the dog ... oddly enough the farmers been spreading fertiliser on the 2 fields i usually walk & when he came past me later this morning he stopped & asked if he had spoiled my pics with his tractor .. he was very happy to see folks out enjoying the countryside & made me laugh when he said he wants rain to get the fertilier going & said you never see a dead donkey or a content farmer :laugh:

  12. I got my first toad this year ... i nearly trod on him also a herd of around 20 very tatty hinds & one young stag i like him & i am going to name him Trevor ... couple of other odds & ends ......
  13. cheers kay ,have had two pairs fighting over it but i think the first pair on the scene have claimed it Fingers crossed they have some young & rear them in there... how exciting to have a nest full of little ones :clapper: makes it worth getting up in the morning if you ask me

I didnt to be honest i just skipd around the edges of chase water.. im not far from there.. yes its a big shame wont ever be the same again wild life fish etc.. i did spot a man with a grey hound tht had only 3 legs runing by the yatching club and the dog was shifting with three legs.. Lichfield district council are to blame they have had to be bullied to move newts to a safe area before the work can start ..... it will regenerate hopefully when its filled back up .. see you in 2012 :laugh:

  19. i thought sticklebacks were kids building bricks from the 70's well this little stream is full of them tiny ones & big ones they dart everywhere i asked that kid to hold the fish though incase it flapped about :laugh:
  20. Just a few pics form a very quick walk this afternoon .....saw some Bluebells first this year & some little fish dont know what they are though ... i also keep seeing little white feathers everywhere as well
  21. no sorry will not be selling any. they will be free to good homes. my other poley jill had her kits yesterday morning. 15 of them. has anyone had a litter of this size? there was someone on here who's jill had around 14 in one litter last year

  24. i would ask yourself do you need to breed 2 litters in the first place ..... if you need a possible combined number of 20 kits then go for it
