Just depends on your jill & if she will tolerate you poking around the nest box ... the last pregnant jill i had here gave birth to one jill kit & i just knew something wasnt right ... i rather feel in this case if i hadn't gone poking round the nest box & got her out to check her she would have died as she had a dead kit inside her that she wouldn't have passed on her own & would have got sick

There just moulting ... most coloured ferrets are never the same colour after each moult .. also bare in mind the hormonal changes after being brought out of season i know in newly castrated hobs they go into a moult & it usually leaves a fine downy coat with very few guard hairs.. it usually rights its self when they moult the summer coat at the back end of the year

i wondered if they where toads or frogs .. i missed them mating this year .. but the ponds heaving with them ... i hope they dont get eaten by the fish

I have seen a few of the peacocks in the last month but only one comma ... theres a huge budleia i have to go past so once its flowered i will hopefully see a lot of different ones

a few pics from todays walk .. seen 3 different varietys of butterflys & some tadpoles ... the ponds full of them at the min I only know the speckled wood butterfly .. not sure of the other 2

probably because you can safe guard against distemper with a vaccine & although vets opinions of weather they actually need it varys ... its still available for owners who choose to vaccinate against it

Well said .. Sheila ferrets were not pm'd because she wasnt at home when they died & they were more than 24 hours dead when found so seemingly they couldnt be pm'd ... So i am pretty sure that her ferrets were ok before they were left as i know she wouldnt have left very sick ferrets ... so it must be something that acts very very quickly ... that in its self is a worry i dont think anyone's obligated to post pm reports on the public domain but theres 2 potential diseases flooring ferrets out there & its not about the '' faces'' its about the welfare of the ferrets all thes

It did say that the artic ones come inland but not normally this far in .. i will have a look on the local wildlife website & see if they have one recorded for the area .. they dont usually miss a thing if its about
