FFS cheating b*****d Japs! A Bronze is still excellent but what a shitty way to win it. That said, fairs fair and the japs did make a correct landing. Well done team GB!
-
FFS point inquiry!!!!! I can't bear it! lol

Just been watching the mens team gymnastics and it's been a real on the edge of your seat dog fight. Fighting Ukrain for Bronze and then a last minute cock up by the japs and we took Silver. Absolutely excellent result by our lads. Not a gold but a great result. Underachieving my hairy arse!

Maybe you would..But you,d also have the choice not to aswell...Simply by not allowing liquids into the games allows the vendors to set a sky high price which is wholly unacceptable imo..Knowing full well that its buy it..or dehydrate and make yourself/kids very poorly indeed... . Think you will find there are free drinking water fountains all over the olyimpic park bud I don't see what the problem is then.
-
What's an exceptable limit then? It's not like they're charging any more than any other public event. It wouldn't have been a bad idea to put out water fountains I guess. It just seems like a lot of people are jumping on anything they can for a good moan.

You'll pay the same at a Game fair or service station. For Christ sake it's not that bad.
-
That's good. Our forces are playing a big part in these games, nice way to show them a little appreciation. It would be good to see some youngsters put in them as well.

It's a bit of a disgrace but at the end of the day if someone buys a ticket or a corporate sponsor has been gifted a load and they don't use them that's their right. If I bought a car and let it rot on the drive, it's a shame I didn't give it to a family that would have really appreciated it, but again it's my right to do as a wish with it. In my opinion the disgrace is with those that don't apreciate the true worth of what they have, not the organisers. Nobody would have expected that people with tickets wouldn't be turning up to the games, f**k me I would jump at the chance, otherwise th

and thats a real real good post. i run dogs more but like f**k would i like to see any more bans in place on guns,, all because of one wanker.. and you know its the same with lamping,, shall we say lets ban lamping with dogs because some c**t in the scopoby smashed the fields to bits??? I think not! All the gun freedom in the world isn't worth one child on a slab.....
-
have you seen what the little c**ts do to people who grass them up.. best off having a word I was just about to say similar. Best to try and sort it yourself..................go through the police and even if they do find the culprit you know nothing will be done. Unfortunately you will get labelled as a grass and it could be your windows that get a pellet next. Not worth it for a few pigeons. Have a word and find out who it is i say.............. If you can't sort it yourself, you have no choice..... unless you don't give a shit about your kids life. Being labelled a 'grass' is pr

It's as simple as this, someone is recklessly shooting at your property. If you can't sort it by yourself you have no choice but to report it. Not being a grass is great untill you are sat by your kids bed in Intensive care with an air rifle pellet lodged in their skull.

Competition is proving tough and already fans are jacking...... Show some f*****g balls and stand by your team. It's early days yet and things aren't much worse at this stage than they were 4 years ago. In Beijing we finished just behind the 3 most powerfull nations in the world, that was a hell of an achievement so lets put things in perspective.

they all had their own flag and a union flag mate even the German s Oh right, I only noticed the french mate.
-
I don't know if anyone noticed but when the French team came out waving the little flags, one side was the French flag, the other was the Union Jack, I didn't see any of the other teams showing their respects to Britain like that. Credit to the French for that, I thought it was a very sporting and respectfull thing to do personally. Not saying the other teams should have but I just thought it was very respectfull. Best part of the night for me was the olympic rings being forged from the industrial revolution and the being raised and burning intensly, really spectacular.

Fecking hell, just dragged my old copy out, christ knows where I got it from as a kid. Says inside it was printed in 1986! It's older than me! I remember spending hours reading it and messing about in the woods trying stuff out. The sorta book you would want handy in a plane crash.
-
I thought it was pretty good in fairness. A few surprises and all in pretty entertaining.
-

I don't pretend to really understand the 'bigger picture' with politics and business but I'm led to believe that it's the talks and deals that go on behind the scenes that will be the true economic benefit of the olympics. The Global Investment Conference and the like. Whether it really balances the books I couldn't say but it's an opportunity that is being taken full advantage of at least. Even if we are 2-3 billion out of pocket by the end of it all, I don't think that is too bad considering. Looking forward to this opening ceremony if it's as gob smacking as it's being made out to be.

The single greatest sporting event in the world and human history! Such a variety of athletes and sports, it's f*****g staggering what some of them can do. It's deffinately a good thing in my book, for Britain and it's economy (as long as the politicians and diplomats do their part).

Greys shooting age?
Born Hunter replied to Born Hunter's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
Thankyou for your reply keeper. That would make them about 20ish weeks, sounds a lot better than 12! at 12 weeks they will be flying at a height of about 3 feet off the floor, it could get messy They're off the floor aren't they? -

Thankyou for your reply keeper. That would make them about 20ish weeks, sounds a lot better than 12! I think too many worry about opening their partridge pens and never seeing the birds again So react to that by shooting the birds as soon as they can fly to ensure some sort of return. It's a bit bitter watching a bird that hasn't a clue get whacked just for the sake of it. -
who voted tory thinking they would lift the ban
Born Hunter replied to nothernlite's topic in General Talk
And it would be a piece of piss for them to do that because the way things stand at the moment the hunting community couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery, never mind unite. -

Lets get one thing straight, they never promised a repeal....... they promised a free vote in parliament. Without a majority pro hunting parliament that's about as much good as a choc tea pot.
