  1. First I've heard of that association. Our government has been elbows deep in a lot of stuff , but first I've heard of that one. I think he's referring to the collections and fundraising that took place amongst the sympathetic Irish American communities there over the years, but totally got his facts wrong by saying it was America doing the funding.. Anyway, this thread is about remembering the thousands who lost their lives that day. Even the conspiracists can't argue with the fact that there was a huge loss of life, so on threads like this they should hold their tounges and s
  2. It's alright Aaron, the camel jokey thing was just a dig at your 'a bunch of farmers' dig. What ever way you look at it, they might as well have been cave dwellers compared to the power of the US. The US just never believed such an attack would happen. Now they do and it won't happen again anytime soon.
  3. Ironically this thread is all about a bunch of camel jokeys that very nearly achieved exactly that. I dare say your side are a bit better prepared now though.
  4. Removed to save an argument with the tin foil brigade. RIP
  5. That black brindle looks a cracker! Looks a strong type. Love to see him when he's 18 month old!
  6. Good pups shift themselves, if they were that good you wouldn't be struggling. Everyone thinks their dogs are top grafters, reality is most are average at best.
  7. I'm in the market for a 5-6" fixed blade knife. Idealy something that can be used with a pouch type sheath instead of the sheaths with retaining straps so any sort of protruding finger guard would be a problem. Just seen this thread, I like your work and the reviews seem positive. Do/will you have anything like this in production and if so what price would I be looking at. I would like to fit a handle myself but would be looking for someone to sheath it.
  8. Oh aye, it's far more likely to be a fecking planet about to collide with earth than it is ooooh I don't know a foreign spy drone or some naturally occuring terrestrial event.......... read a bit more bud and the effect on the atmosphere I'm sure it's all very interesting but I would bet my house that it's bollocks.
  9. the thing is the power only drains when pointed at the lights but is fine again when turned away from them skyline shite Be honest now Paulus, your among fellow THLers................ You experienced a 'contact' didn't you!........... was there anal probing?
  10. Oh aye, it's far more likely to be a fecking planet about to collide with earth than it is ooooh I don't know a foreign spy drone or some naturally occuring terrestrial event..........
  11. Fecking hell, how does the law stand on shooting aliens? The strange lights aren't anything particularly intriguing but the phone/battery draining thing is.....
  12. . What ever context. It was used in the. Words . House breaker , thief, burgled etc , and bravery ,courage when sentencing a heroin addict. Would not jump into my vocabulary. Call me. Old fashioned. Eh. What if he was directly quoting the defense as part of his statement? It needs putting into context, otherwise it's just more media sensationalism. He probably did mean it how it sounds and is a prize prick, but I haven't heard it in it's true context yet so I'm not jumping on it untill I do. And please don't think I am all soft and liberal for judges and criminals, if you a
  13. If I hear someone breaking into my home, even if all they want is a ham sandwich out the fridge, I SHOULD have every right to grab a baseball bat and go downstairs and deal with them. If they so much as swear at me aggresively I SHOULD have the right to dissable them or kill them if necessary. There should be no risk of prosecution for the victim in a burglary who SHOULD feel safe taking the most deadly weapon he has to hand and engaging a burgler. Be that a hammer, knife, bat or shotgun. All that is fine, it's just the actual engageing the intruder with a deadly weapon part the law doesn'
  14. I think the statement needs putting into context. We keep hearing this single quote but are yet to hear the context it was in. It would be helpfull to be able to read the whole of his statement rather than just the one short quote. I'm not quite ready to hang the judge yet..... but the rope is being tied......
  15. An expert is egsactly what this site needs..... You must be a special one as well to be an egspert before you have even entered your first dog. Genuinely egsited!!!!
  16. Common sense prevails this time!
  17. If they are being done for aggravated burglary then surely that means they had a weapon? If my understanding is correct then not just a weapon but a deadly weapon. The only reason I can think that he has been charged is if he shot at them without being in actual danger. I think the couple had been broken into 3 times previously and one of the times the dirty b*****ds shit on their bed.
  18. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hunting_Act_2004 The effect of the Act is to outlaw hunting with dogs (particularly fox hunting, but also the hunting of deer, hares and mink and organised hare coursing) in England and Wales from 18 February 2005. The pursuit of foxes with hounds was banned in Scotland two years earlier under legislation of the devolved Scottish Parliament, while it remains legal in Northern Ireland.
  19. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-19485031# They've been bailed but were held on suspicion of causing GBH.......... so, what's worse GBH or aggravated burglary?
  20. That pretty much sums up how I feel about it. Others love it but it's not for me. I've got no greater chance of being an olympian than a bloke with no legs has, physically I'm genetically inferior to every olympian, should they open a handicap class for me where I get a 20m head start in the 100m sprint? Or perhaps start another olympic event for everyone that hasn't got what it takes to be an olymian where we all start with handicaps.... For me the paralympics is a celebration of the human spirit that the dissabled sportsmen show, nothing more and nothing less. It doesn't interest me in t
  21. Sound advice Bosun. A man worth listening to. I've never seen any dreamt up bollocks come from your posts.
  22. I'm always left scratching my head a bit with what jokes people think are okay and what are not. I know what I would and wouldn't joke about and to who I can get away with such jokes. Personally I don't think the internet is the place for 'sick jokes' like about dissabilites etc. Anybody know of any jokes about Maddy McCann? Are they acceptable? Must be if dissabled jokes are? I'm not judging anyone, It doesn't bother me what people post jokes about, but it's not something I would do or support. I don't think there is any need to blow it out of proportion though and react negatively.
  23. Personally I'm not a fan of that American Hoggers, they all seem a bit half arsed like they don't really know what they are doing. Lady Hoggers is much better imo, the main man on there, Gary, seems to know his stuff and has much better dogs than the American hoggers.
  24. It's a shame as she was one of the best contributors to the site. At least she didn't make a big deal of it.
  25. A good idea when building kennels is to put the gutter at the foot of the bed section, between the run and bed, with a decent 4" step up to the bed area. Most people have the gutter at the front of the runs. It makes washing the runs out 10 times easier as you just chuck a bucket of water from the entrance towards the bed, a lot easier than chucking it from within the run to the door.
