  1. You're right baw. But can I f**k remember anything about it. i think it's on this week some time? To be honest I thought about watching it and then thought f**k it, it'll just be the same old one sided shit with anything of interest to me.
  2. The entire British Military wasn't really either! As you say, it's a true testiment to 1980's Britain. Nobody believed we could do it but a few Admirals in the Royal Navy. Edited to add; Another reason to vote UKIP, they back our forces 100% and understand the need for a world leading Blue water navy with an Independant Island state. have you read " two weeks in May" by the captain of HMS Coventry and his account of her deployment to the south atlantic and her subsequent sinking after 3 1000lb bombs dropped by two argantinian skyhawks ? The vulcan was based just up the road fr

  4. Nah that sounds very peaceful..... They should torture these c**ts everyday till there body can't take no more. You should be able to pay to view it and pay more to take part in it. These torture camps would run themselves. yep got to agree, and bring back the death penalty!!!!!! does anyone know how much it costs to keep a prisoner in prison these days, well its a hell of alot of money, each and every day ! bring back hanging i say Do you? The figure quoted is £45k per inmate per annum. I assume that it will differ on an individual basis.
  5. Thing is food didn't have the calorific content that food has today and the marching thousands of miles carrying/wearing armour, shields and weapons would have made them fit in the case of the roman army. Sailing was all manual work with no mechanisation or aids. Not saying food didn't contribute, but I think the lifestyle is those cases would have had more of an effect on fitness levels than the way they ate. do you not also think,,,,its highly unlikly ,that they were big men,,like is depicted in holywood films,,, gladiator ,,the 300, or this sparticus serries,,,, im sure they were lea

  9. "Oh God!... BAAAWWWKKK... It's up my nose! BAAAWWWKKK" My ex who had bad aim. Funniest thing I've ever seen, she kept trying to snort it out but couldn't because she kept bawking and trying to throw up!
  10. UKIP's Nigel Farage told the BBC Radio 4's Today Programme that "the people who vote for us are rejecting the establishment and quite right too". "Three parties, three fronts benches who look the same and sound the same and made up of people who basically have never had a job in the real world," he said. "But are they voting UKIP just to stick two fingers up and to scream very loudly or are they voting UKIP because we're offering positive policy alternatives?" "I don't think these votes are going away quickly," he added.
  11. Smart looking dogs Nick. Did you say something in another thread about dropping a Red Hind with one? That dark fella on the left looks an ideal candidate for such work!
  12. I bet that was fascinating. What were the gorunds like Gem? How did you come upon that oportunity?

  14. There was a documentary on Horizon a few months ago now on the intemittent fasting diet, in depth scientific study. I found it interesting and very logical. Ignoring the fact it's quite a natural diet, fasting and feasting, it's just a smart way of calorie counting effectively. 5 days you can eat as much as you want, whatever you want; 2 days you are limited to 600 cals. Now, the studys have shown that on the feasting days the majority of test subjects only ate about 10% more than normal, which based on 5 days feasting 2 days fasting you have cut your weekly calorie intake by an entire day
  15. Reading the books spoils the tv series!
  16. It's alright Baw, you're just having a midlife crisis!
  17. I'm only young I guess in comparison to you old timers. I have a career to build and bills to pay like most and you can't let the hunting get in the way of that too much.... I get out as often as I can and take what ever oportunities and experiences come my way. I've got mates I shoot with, mates I lamp with, mates I dig with and few others that fit somewhere in between but not had a few proper keen mates that want to be out in all weathers doing what I do all the time for a few years now. They all loose interest or their interest is 90% booked with other fieldsports/things. I'm not
  18. The hangman's noose is the most fitting means of administering the death penalty in my opinion. Just something very emotive about it, a real sense of justice with a hanging.
  19. I really don't consider myself educated enough in any one subject to say "yeah, that's my subject". I'm currently, albeit gradually, making my way through Martin Middlebrook's 'The Falklands War'. By the time I've finnished that, I'll feel like a fecking expert, he's not missed out a single fact, disputed or otherwise!
  20. while i agree with what you say about throwing generations on the scrap heap we can train as many scientists engineers & whatever else we want to train but if their is no industry to employ them what are they gonna do over 3/4 of everything consumed in this country is imported & until we sort that out everything else is f****d & will stay f****d. a lot of the industry we have here is foreign & is only here coz it can then say made in britain & is then not subject to import tax in the rest of the EU nissan is a prime example all these firms would f**k off pronto if we
  21. So what your saying is, the more a government steals from folk then better off we will be?.........mate, newsflash, its not f*****g working!!! Putting the power to redistribute working peoples money in the hands of government has robbed us of any power......thats why the system is in the shit state its in and why politicians get away with murders!! The soviet union with all its vast mineral wealth & assetts counld not make socialism work.......its a cancer that feeds off the society it dwells in Cut back the state, give people back their money and you will give them back their

  23. Some DO have the relevant experience.... to begin with. Then when there's a reshuffle, somehow the bloke who was the health secretary is now in charge of transport, the transport bloke is in charge of schools etc. How can they be experts in all that? As Baw says, they all then have to have advisors to tell them how to do the job, so that is really 2 people doing each job. Someone with knowhow and a mouthpiece. Well, I'd say someone with political experience and someone with industry experience. The industry I'm in we struggle like feck to find salesmen with commercial experience/k
  24. Haha, f***ing hell the saga continues!
  25. Baw, I get what you mean now. BUT do you really think that politics is the same as industry? It requires a different person with the savvy for beurocracy and democracy. Also, If I'm not mistaken the Secretaries in charge of each department do usually have history and experience in the relavent industries.
