  2. I'm waiting on a rookery but the b*****d trees have just come fully into leaf! I'll try but was really hoping they'd hold off. Where are the rest of you to have no leaves yet? The trees are green and the fields yellow here in Nott's/Linc's/Leic'!

Quality story lines with quality acting, lots of fights and people being chopped up and throats cut and a fair bit of soft porn too. Clearly very similar to medieval Britain too!

I try to watch (either live, recorded or on the net) Game of Thrones, Arrow, Bones and the E4 stuff like Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother. I've fecking lost track of most of them though and hardly get round to watching TV now it's light well into the evening. To be honest I'm much happier when I'm going days/weeks without turning the TV on than when I'm watching 3 or 4 hours a day. It's fecking depressing spending hours in front of the TV every day imo.
  5. Starting tomorrow in Channel 4 news (7pm) is a series of reports called "Green and Pleasant Land". Could this be what you dreamt of ?? i dred to think what he dreams of  must have been that, can't see it anywhere. Channel 4 News I think mate, it's part of that news hour at 7.
  6. I feel sorry for Walshie, some of you have a real axe to grind with him................. maybe you could lend it to him after......
  7. Dream job would not have anything to do with money because ideally money would never be an issue..... But in the real world I guess I would like to work 3 days a week in a research position, that'd satisfy the scientist within me, defence technology, astrophysics or something similar in R&D. That would leave enough time for me to run a small shoot on a few hundred acres of land I would own and earn a fair living off of the land itself. So basically a rich landowner that fannies about hunting and pondering the many questions of the universe...... That's perfectly realistic right?
  8. You're right baw. But can I f**k remember anything about it. i think it's on this week some time? To be honest I thought about watching it and then thought f**k it, it'll just be the same old one sided shit with anything of interest to me.
  9. The entire British Military wasn't really either! As you say, it's a true testiment to 1980's Britain. Nobody believed we could do it but a few Admirals in the Royal Navy. Edited to add; Another reason to vote UKIP, they back our forces 100% and understand the need for a world leading Blue water navy with an Independant Island state. have you read " two weeks in May" by the captain of HMS Coventry and his account of her deployment to the south atlantic and her subsequent sinking after 3 1000lb bombs dropped by two argantinian skyhawks ? The vulcan was based just up the road fr

  11. Nah that sounds very peaceful..... They should torture these c**ts everyday till there body can't take no more. You should be able to pay to view it and pay more to take part in it. These torture camps would run themselves. yep got to agree, and bring back the death penalty!!!!!! does anyone know how much it costs to keep a prisoner in prison these days, well its a hell of alot of money, each and every day ! bring back hanging i say Do you? The figure quoted is £45k per inmate per annum. I assume that it will differ on an individual basis.
  12. Thing is food didn't have the calorific content that food has today and the marching thousands of miles carrying/wearing armour, shields and weapons would have made them fit in the case of the roman army. Sailing was all manual work with no mechanisation or aids. Not saying food didn't contribute, but I think the lifestyle is those cases would have had more of an effect on fitness levels than the way they ate. do you not also think,,,,its highly unlikly ,that they were big men,,like is depicted in holywood films,,, gladiator ,,the 300, or this sparticus serries,,,, im sure they were lea
  13. Tall aquaphobic commandos............?
  14. You're a para aren't you? Is there such thing as a short para? LOL
  15. ... Was wondering that myself lol b*****ds!
  16. "Oh God!... BAAAWWWKKK... It's up my nose! BAAAWWWKKK" My ex who had bad aim. Funniest thing I've ever seen, she kept trying to snort it out but couldn't because she kept bawking and trying to throw up!
  17. UKIP's Nigel Farage told the BBC Radio 4's Today Programme that "the people who vote for us are rejecting the establishment and quite right too". "Three parties, three fronts benches who look the same and sound the same and made up of people who basically have never had a job in the real world," he said. "But are they voting UKIP just to stick two fingers up and to scream very loudly or are they voting UKIP because we're offering positive policy alternatives?" "I don't think these votes are going away quickly," he added.
  18. Smart looking dogs Nick. Did you say something in another thread about dropping a Red Hind with one? That dark fella on the left looks an ideal candidate for such work!
  19. I bet that was fascinating. What were the gorunds like Gem? How did you come upon that oportunity?

  21. There was a documentary on Horizon a few months ago now on the intemittent fasting diet, in depth scientific study. I found it interesting and very logical. Ignoring the fact it's quite a natural diet, fasting and feasting, it's just a smart way of calorie counting effectively. 5 days you can eat as much as you want, whatever you want; 2 days you are limited to 600 cals. Now, the studys have shown that on the feasting days the majority of test subjects only ate about 10% more than normal, which based on 5 days feasting 2 days fasting you have cut your weekly calorie intake by an entire day
  22. Reading the books spoils the tv series!
  23. It's alright Baw, you're just having a midlife crisis!
  24. I'm only young I guess in comparison to you old timers. I have a career to build and bills to pay like most and you can't let the hunting get in the way of that too much.... I get out as often as I can and take what ever oportunities and experiences come my way. I've got mates I shoot with, mates I lamp with, mates I dig with and few others that fit somewhere in between but not had a few proper keen mates that want to be out in all weathers doing what I do all the time for a few years now. They all loose interest or their interest is 90% booked with other fieldsports/things. I'm not
  25. The hangman's noose is the most fitting means of administering the death penalty in my opinion. Just something very emotive about it, a real sense of justice with a hanging.
